EnclaveOverlord1
Hi, I have this bug where for some reason all my settlements happiness gets stuck at 50, and I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out what the cause is. In changing the happiness through console commands, it just seems to get stuck at whatever I changed it to. I initially thought it was Don't Call Me Settler, but in testing it doesn't seem to be. If nobody can help me fix this, I'll go through the awful process of trying to figure it by myself though I was hoping somebody maybe had this problem and fixed it therefore knows how I can fix it. SharraShimada
First of all: Do you have beds for everyone? Als sheltered (in a building)? Is Water, food and defense provided? There is a certain amount per settler, you have to cover. If any of this is not right, the happiness is limited to a certain level and gets stuck there, until you provide the needet ressources. Also, at a later point, they want stores like the medic-store to be really happy.
Moraelin
Oi vey... I dunno what's causing your bug, but I see autoweapons.esp in there. Unless it's been fixed recently, it overrides the parent quest for the workshops. It WILL cause problems with Nuka World, namely the dreaded "can't build raider flags" bug. JimmyRJump
Three weeks ago, I all of a sudden had the exact same bug. Was running 339 mods with 254 plug-ins at the time and had updated a handful of mods, including Snap'n'Build. Took me two days with just a few hours of sleep and 19 restarts (new games) and the mods that seemed to somehow screw-up settlement happiness were the CCWS and Snap'n'Build ones... Did away with both (and cleared out a whole lot of others, too, to have just 270 mods with 186 plug-ins) and all is fine since then. Not saying explicitely that those two are the culprits in themselves, as there's almost infinity possibilities of clashes with other mods. The main problem with this bug -in my case anyway- is that once you have it, you can't get rid of it by deleting mods. Only way seems to be to start from scratch, I'm afraid :(
steve40
What version of BYOP are you using? It also messes with happiness, and certain versions had some sort of cap iirc. But as JimmyRJump said, the vanilla game imposes caps on happiness if you don't satisfy food, water or shelter requirements. EnclaveOverlord1
I've definitely fulfilled all the settler necessities so I don't think its that. As for the suggested mods that may cause the issue, I just tried starting a new game with those mods removed (CCWS, Snap'n'Build and Automatron - More Weapons) with no fix in the issue, or so it seems as of right now. As for BYOP, i'm on version 4.0, the most recent version I'm fairly sure. Hopefully I can figure this annoying issue out eventually, its been plaguing me for months, and I haven't been able to fix it.
JimmyRJump
I had to completely re-install my game to get rid of the bug. Not just simply starting a new game. That's why it took me two bloody days, adding mods again to NMM.
EnclaveOverlord1
Oh that's what you meant, wow. Well I might end up doing that, but only as a very last resort.

But as JimmyRJump said, the vanilla game imposes caps on happiness if you don't satisfy food, water or shelter requirements.A pity you had to block me from your mods over -I surmise- my earlier comment. Ah-well... that's life I suppose. Never said anything really negative about your mod except for the fact that when I stopped using it (kept the BYOP though, without a problem) my settlement happiness again worked like it should. But, and I repeat myself, I'm not saying that the CCSW mod is by definition the culprit, it's just that in my set-up it seemed/seems to influence my game in a negative way... Tried to contact you through PM but that doesn't seem to work either. I've got nothing to add towards your decision to no longer grant me access to your mods, as it is your perogative to do so. No hard feelings either, just a bit miffed, that's all... Cheerio and good luck in your endeavours.

I've used CWSS for a couple of days but it clashes with a lot of mods and screwed-up my game in a major way. You don't even know for sure what caused the bug. It was cured by reinstalling the game, not by removing a particular mod. You didn't even file a bug report. There are a lot of mods out there that edit the vanilla workshop script (mine isn't one of them). If you are going to go about passive-aggressively disparaging mods because you are pissed off that you had to reinstall your game and couldn't even take the trouble to inform the MA that there may be a problem, well, I don't see why I should share my mods with you. Have a nice day.
