Monitor Size: 19" 1440x900 resolution

Settings Im using through its software are.

Audio Channel: 8 Channels

Sample rate: PCM 96KHz

Analog out: 5.1 speakers

DSP mode: Hi - fi enabled; GX mode: disabled

Im using optical cord from and to the sound card to surround sound.

 

 

Ok so heres my problem. I play New vegas for about 30 mins then I just crash to desktop witha Close program option. The strange part is, when I do crash back to the desktop I get a feed back noise and the only way to get rid of it is to restart my pc. I don't know if its from the game looping broken audio from just crashing or feedback from one of my fans through the soundcard. The even crazier part, while the looping noise is going on my sound works still for everything else as if nothing happen. Ive tired everything I can think of. Disable built in motherboard audio from Bios, update sound card drivers, FFshow audio decoder disable, tried all KHz settings, Tried all Analog settings, and sample settings. This soundcard is very new I just bought it couple weeks ago and popped it in. Now I can't say if its the card because before I was using my 32" samsung HDMI and the speaks on the tv but decided I wanted to use a monitor again. But the looping sound thing has me suspicious. It works fine with youtube and videos. I cant really say everything cause I've been mostly playing New vegas.

 

Now for my question. Is it my Mods or my sound card causing me to crash?

You sir, were clearly right. I ran the game for a 1hr 17 mins without a Crash. I still have more testing to do. We will see how long this last before I put down a base from wasteland defense. But Thank you very much! I'm glad to figure out its not my sound card, whew. :dance:
