Some of those sketches are nice!

Here is what I meant about the handle:

Excuse the poor drawing, it was a quick mock up. 3 materials, with the bone material inlaid into the wood. I have put a pink arrow where you could model some wings for the cross section of the sword, so it's more western based rather than far eastern (Katana-no cross section). Dragon wings are ofcourse a really cool shape too! ;)

Ofcourse, my material suggestions don't have to be used, just thought I'd put my 2 cents in :)

EDIT: yeah you're not famous, just remember the name from back in the day! ;) lol

Ok check not some sketches done by hand and then scanned ... I need to find a look to go with as I find quite difficult to work without a concept ... As I put stuff in then I do change and I waste lot of time ...

To be honest... this sword has nothing to do with alduin -.- its just a dragon on there...why not apply how alduin looks to the actual sword hilt, scale structure, and the tip can be the same shape as his tail, you were saying how you wanted it to be made from the same materials as him. right now its becoming an ornate ancient sword long lost in a ruin somwhere, not something you would make from a dragon. But thats my opinion i still love how the swords progressing.

Ok since most of the responses pointed toward n 9 and avoid the asiatic look i am using that as base ... Still not sure for the bottom but anyway now i have a clear idea of what to do ... :D ... Sculpt time :) .....

Jeah, that looks nice. Me myself i would just add something to the area on the right..crossover scales and the plain area, but this can be solved with textures, would make em to look more organic and to round the sharp shapes as well. Is this zBrush or Mudbox? zBrush i guess... Edited by ghosu
