JakeAoun
Hello, I have downloaded files from this website, intending them to be applied to the game. I extract them using WinRar, I then place the extracted files into the Data folder of the Skyrim folder inside Local Disk (C:). Single files have worked fine for me, and I'm able to use those mods. However, mods that are bigger, which contain files within folders, don't seem to work. Some examples are: The Nightingale Armour Mod, Female Face Mod. Sorry if I'm not being specific enough or not explaining it right, anyway, could someone please tell me what they do when downloading the type of mod I described which doesn't work for me. Iv000
You are probably installing them the wrong way. Follow the install instructions in the readme.txt for each file.If you find a "Data" folder, you should just copy that into your Skyrim folder. (Steam>Steamapps>Common>Skyrim)If you find only folders named "Textures" or "Meshes" etc, just put them inside the "Data" folder in your Skyrim folder. Also, if a mod has a .esp or .esm file, you put that one in the "Data" folder too, you start the Skyrim Launcher, click on Data Files, and check the .esp or .esm mod. Bunik
Some mods offer more options in one file. They have to be picked correctly from the right folder in the RAR or ZIP.Most authors write how to install their mods and how to choose alternatives. Please follow their isntructions. xaviraan
None of my installed mods work either :( I'm 100% sure I'm doing everything right, I've checked all the tutorials and forums and such but I can't find a solution. The problem is that I can't seem to click on the 'data files' menu in the launcher. Anyone has any idea how to fix this?
