Ok, got it, I'm running everything from the drop-down.

...So, there ISN'T an update button!!! I need to go to Nexus and do it manually! And if I'm downloading the correct one, why MO says I don't? A bug maybe?

A bug perhaps with Nexus. :P

MO and NMM can only look at the main version number displayed on the main mod page. They cannot see the version numbers of the individual files. So if there is a difference between the version number of the file installed and the listed version number on Nexus, they'll both say that there is an update.

Its intended as an aid but not a replacement for manually confirming.

Fellas, another question:

Can I use MO with Skyrim AND NMM with Skyrim SE???

I mean, I'm following "STEP" guide to finish the mods installation via MO for Skyrim Legendary Edition... Can I use NMM this time, to install mods for Skyrim SE?

I'm asking, because MO asked to link the mods with it... and obviously NMM will do the same for itself.
Doesn't matter (since when I'll have NMM on, the MO will be closed)?

Okay, got it. And a question (for this reply):

If a mod runs fine...and the author launches a new (improved) version...is it fine to LEAVE IT (the mod) as it is (since runs fine) without updating? I'm asking, because I'm doing that for my Win-PC & my MacOS - I'm ONLY updating what are necessary, not ANYTHING the messages saying.

It is up to you whether you update your mods or not. If you are mid-play through, you may choose not to update until the next character you wish to play. Then again, if the update fixes a major bug and updating won't brake an existing play-through, updating might be a good idea.

You can run LOOT as much as you want, tho it might be better to stick with the groupings that STEP has since you are following STEP. When it says to stop and test, that includes running LOOT.

I have MO for Skyrim (original). Wrye Bash for SSE. A pre-profile version of NMM for Oblivion, Morrowind & Dragon Age Origins. However, only MO is set up to download directly with Nexus. The rest I download manually and import the files. So, yes, you can use whatever mod manager you want for each game but your browser will only support one program to handle the download links.

So, no autodownloading with both MO & NMM...!

I'm getting this message, when I'm trying to add new priority to ELE Legendary Lite:

Must be an integer between +/- 127 inclusive

The STEP guide gives MUCH MORE value (970000)!!! What am I suppose to do?

What version of LOOT are you using? It could be that something has changed with LOOT from the time those instructions were written and the current version. I haven't had cause to check metadata recently and my version may not be the most up-to-date, tho it might be as I did re-download for SSE.

EDIT:

It is a change in LOOT as I found out that I did not have the most up-to-date version. The newest version must handle metadata numbering differently. I don't know what you should do in order to follow their instructions. Best I can suggest is to ask in the STEP forums where those who use STEP and keep it as up-to-date as they can frequent.

EDIT 2:

A quick search yielded this thread where the topic came up and a link to the official LOOT forum thread where questions were asked about it. The information may be helpful... or not :P
