Annoying ads

I understand that you need to have advertising to help run the site, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated by that one from Workoplis. It's one thing to have ads and banners around the site, but having a full page ad that keeps railroading me, with no apparent way to close it is a bit too much. The "Skip Ad" command does not come up when I first get the screen, I have to backup the page in order for it to appear. Which is not exactly a user-friendly way to generate revenue and only serves to piss us off.

Please take a screenshot and upload it here. This site is not making use of interstitials, which is what I think you were describing, so I'd be interested in getting to the bottom of this.

Thanks.

I hope you don't mind me spewing here a bit, but I think advertising in general is total and utter bullsh*t. I mean, c'mon, is it really worth spending millions of $$$ just to advertise a product or service that nobody even bothers to have or use? Maybe it's just me, but I find having ads in my face 24/7 (well, maybe not THAT often... ) to be counterproductive, unintuitive, intrusive, and most of all, downright annoying.

But before anyone decides to scold me for my thinking, I will say that I am quite immune to advertising; the only time I pay attention to ads is if I find what's being advertised to be something I could use (which for the most part is EXTREMELY rare). Sorry for that, but I needed to vent some steam

This add goes to www.zango.com.. A known spyware/malware site. Remember HotBar... thats the same people :(

They are still up to thier naughty ways.....

I don't know if that concerns you....

I seem to see this one often enough, espcially when I'm in the files section. I visit there to perhaps download a mod, and in the window I get something similar to that most of the time. It also has a "you've won 500$ in free gas*" a lot in the same window -is that 'free gas' one intentional?
