Inquisitor956
Hello everyone.I started playing Skyrim again after a quite a few months to prepare for the release of the Enhanced Edition. I never really uninstalled anything, I just didn't play it until now.So, I started a new character, and after the game loaded up in the dungeon of Alternate Start, I immediately noticed some sort of ghosting/image burn-in on screen. I thought maybe it was a glitch, so I restarted the game. Same thing happened, so this time I restarted the PC. That didn't work either, so I checked to see if my GPU drivers were the issue, which it wasn't (didn't even work when I rolled back to the last WHQL certified drivers). Afterwards, I uninstalled all the mods one by one to see which one was causing the issue, which of course, didn't work. I though maybe since I had installed ENBoost that it was the cause, but still no change when I did it.I gave up and cleared every trace of Skyrim I had on my PC and re-installed. It worked! Obviously. Then I started installing mods one by one again, maybe I could find out which one was causing it this time (I updated quite a few mods in the process), and I ended up having all my original mods installed (including ENBoost) and the issue was "resolved". I was so happy that I played quite a bit to account for the hours I wasted trying to figure this out. That is, until I started playing today, and the problem appeared again.I tried googling and searching to see if there were similar issues, but I didn't even know what to call this issue in the first place, so I lurked around but found nothing, and here I am.A few details about the problem:1- Only happens in dungeons and some interiors. It doesn't happen in shops or most buildings.2- Does not happen in Third Person view.3- It isn't static. If I change from FP to TP and back again, the image that will be "ghosted" will be directly what I was looking at during the transition.Link to an album with examples (I recommend you zoom in, Imgur makes images way darker than what they are) My LOOT load orderSpecs:CPU: AMD A10 5800k @ 4.4GHzGPU: AMD MSI R9 380 Gaming 4GRAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 2x4GB 1866 MHzStorage: Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250GB (game is installed here)OS: W10 Pro x64 AnniversaryI am seriously losing my mind over this!Thank you for any assistance! And I apologize if something like this has been posted before. Like I said, I have no clue how to even identify this issue, and most of what I could find was about Enhanced Camera screwing with the sensitivity for FP view. Project579
ELFX - Weathers.esp is incompatible with ClimatesOfTamriel. Sure you only have ENBoost and not the entire ENB active? SoS has a lot of incompatibilities with ELFX and Climates of Tamriel find some patches (make sure they are updated) or make one on your own using TES5Edit or remove Sounds of Skyrim (consider installing Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2). However, getting rid of ELFX entirely did not help. 100% sure. I'm using all the patches provided by the authors. Removing all 3 mods did not help. It must be caused by something else, but I have no idea what. I have just uninstalled the game once more and will try to see if any specific mod combination triggers it. Otherwise I'll just keep the game vanilla until the Special Edition comes along, which is a shame.
bryceslade
I'm getting a similar problem showed in the pictures while playing at 4k. Did you find the fix for this? I know I'm 8 months late.
Inquisitor956
I'm getting a similar problem showed in the pictures while playing at 4k. Did you find the fix for this? I know I'm 8 months late.It had something to do with a mod that created a SKSE configuration file when launching the game the first time. Its why I managed to play for hours after completely re-installing the game and the mods, but started happening again after I launched it a second time (when the configurations kicked in). IIRC, it was Skyrim Reloaded(SKGE). That mod gave me quite a few issues with Enhanced Camera and Lighting Overhaul as well, as it not only included its own First-Person character model, but its own lighting tweaks (the cause of this particular issue). If you have to use that mod for any reason, I recommend going into the SKSE plugins folder, finding the configuration files, and disabling its lighting settings. I also found out it uses the letter 'O' on the keyboard as a shortcut to disable its lighting in-game (getting rid of the ghosting until you either re-start the game or re-enable it), but since I had assigned that key to something else I never figured it out. Darkf0rge
I recently had this problem too. Turns out it was something a bit different. I play the game using 3dvision in stereoscopic 3d, and this was conflicting with enb
