firsTraveler
The only reason to be a were in Skyrim is the disease protection. And I hate that the camera stays third person just like horses; there is nothing more immersion killing than that kind of camera!
Dodes15
I applaud you for making such a well drawn out request, now that is how you request mods on a forum
Scathach7
I fully endorse most of the ideas presented by you all. In particular, I completely agree that werewolves should at least have SOME sneak functionality, as a predator without the option to stalk its prey just seems... strange to me. You could use the sprinting pounce animation for sneak-attacks as well, as I think that would fit quite well without requiring too much work in what would already be a very difficult mod to create. As for the Dragon Shouts thing, I'm not too keen on the idea, though maybe werewolves who have Hircine's blessing/Companion blood could muster the first word of a shout or something. It would make more sense to me to expand on the totems instead, adding in more howls with wolf-appropriate effects. Maybe a Totem that does something similar to the Equilibrium spell, but converts stamina into health instead or vice-versa, as one way of mitigating the lack of regeneration for less-in-control werewolves. Perhaps a rally howl as well for using alongside pack-mates. Maybe even a couple of active effect totems as the last ones you're able to recieve, like an additional bonus to sprint speed or the ability to feed on prey animals like deer as well as humanoids.Lastly, perhaps add a bit of variation to their melee attacks. Say, being able to choose a bleed effect or the Huntsman bonus damage effect on the power attacks, in exchange for losing or weakening the knockback. dianacat777
Wow, this has gained a lot more attention than I'd even hoped for. :D Firs, completely agree. I love third person for being able to look at my character, but it's very unwieldy when you're trying to perform actions, and it gives the impression that you're not actually who you're playing if you can't shift into first person. Dodes, thanks :3 I imagined that just saying 'make wws better plz?' wouldn't really get across what I actually wanted, so... Scath... I like that. Although I think I might leave the totems alone (people often say that quest is buggy) and create an additional quest for extra abilities, or make perks - perhaps a combo of both. Also, I hope to level the current werewolf's abilities, most importantly armor and the howls. (level that fear affects and strength of the two wolf summons. Ooh! What if, at higher levels, the Howl of the Pack summoned not two wolves, but an increasing number of spirit wolves and spirit werewolves?)
boomnuke35
This is exactly what I've been thinking cuz I mean I love being a werewolf but sometimes I really don't feel like one it always feels like its lacking something. I will help as much as I can for anybody who makes this mod, because I really want to see this done!
boomnuke35
Maybe variations on the level of werewolves like once your a werewolf for longer you change a little by getting stronger or bigger or something because all the werewolves are the same it's kinda boring. I know you mentioned the color thing in the post earlier but if you said it like this sorry I might have missed that.
dianacat777
It's always great to have help - if I can even get a bit of a team on this, I'll have to remember to let you know :D As for getting stronger - I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'd want the aforementioned werewolf perk tree to only become available after you become a werewolf. This way, you can't start out strong as one, and you need to play the game in order to get up your skills. (The problem here is that perk points would be stretched even thinner. Perhaps... some werewolf quests would award you with perk points that you could spend however you wanted? But then you technically could just put those into archery or something. Well, it'd be your call.) CoH - Resurrected and its addon had it where you gained power gradually through the amount of times you fed, which worked pretty well. But I think the perk tree is probably easier to use, given its availability.

dianacat777
Thanks! For all random readers on this thread, Spacerogue has a set of werewolf recolors available. I use the grey one, myself. They look epic.
tonicmole
It seems all new actions in Skyrim were linked to a piece of jewelry whether it made since or not. Getting married, becoming a werewolf, eatting corpses.......It seems like a cop out. Like they desperatly wanted to make a linear game. They feared we wouldn't play it right or something. I would go left but there is a mountain there. I'd go right but there are more mountains..........I guess I'll go forward. Best RPG ever, maybe, but I fear for the future. I think getting rid of the need for jewelry is always a good idea.
