WastelandAssassin
saying which game it is you are trying to mod would be a huge helpand there are plenty of beginners guides online, and wiki sites with plenty of information the problem is that you gave very little information, so it's really hard to offer you any helpwhich game are you talking about, and what kind of mod are you trying to make?using that information, people can really try and help you
Rabbit1251
Greetings to you, Mr. Htway!! As the WastelandAssassin says knowing the game would be the first step. The Nexus supports over 200 game titles and each has their own dedicated Forum. Some of the games, like those from Bethesda, provide mod creation software for their games. For some mod types that you may wish to make you may have to learn your way around other utilities for editing graphics, etc. But don't let any of this put you off. You say that you are 69 years old? Well, this old Rabbit is only 4 years younger than you!! Bonne chance, mon ami. The Rabbit
htway269
Sorry for that. The game I am referring to if Fallout 4, and yes I see videos out there on what I am trying to do, but it doesn't answer some of my questions. I have made a few weapons mods for my game, and they worked great. The videos I am viewing are creating a settlement somewhere in the Common Wealth, but they don't tell how to do certain things, like how to; say for instance I start creating the settlement, and after starting it to be able to save, and come back to it later, and pick right up where I left off. Hop this helps
Rabbit1251
Fallout 4 is the game that I am currently playing. You can get help with your issues by going here: (https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?c=3485,3500). You can find many ready made mods by going here: (). Using the G.E.C.K.? No? Download it here: (). Need a Mod Manager? Nexus Mod Manager here: (). For specific questions like yours check out the Forums in the first link. iXenite
If you want to make your own mods for Fallout 4 I would recommend you get the Creation Kit, not the G.E.C.K (that tool was used for Fallout 3 and New Vegas, it is not to be used with Fallout 4). The Creation Kit is free to anyone with a PC copy of Fallout 4 and a Bethesda.net account. Download the Bethesda.net Launcher, create a Bethesda.net account and log into the Bethesda.net Launcher. You can install the Creation Kit from the Launcher itself. I thought that they all were referred to as the GECK in the Fallout series and the Creation Kit in the Elder Scrolls. My error. Thank you, DaddyDirection, for setting this one straight.
