devinschmidt
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvGy-M37Kx4 Not sure on the credibility of this Youtuber or anything, but I saw this and figured I should report it to the Nexus. If I'm wrong in doing so or if the Youtuber is not credible, let me know. Just trying to spread the word. We are all a community here, and I think that people treating people like crap over something like this is unnecessary and not what the Nexus expects from it's creators and members. SpectralDragon
A lot of mod authors are against their mods being showcased in a YouTube video...especially if said video is monetized. There is no way currently for a mod author to get paid for their work other than setting up a donation link here on Nexus, and hoping someone will donate if they like the mod. If someone asks for a mod to be removed from a YouTube video, I would think the polite thing to do would be for the Youtuber to edit the showcase out...but some of these guys are stubborn, like some mod authors. If he won't remove that mod from the video the mod author will likely put a copyright claim on it...which ends up hurting not only the Youtuber who made it but also gives more fuel for those subscribers loyal to him to incite hate. YouTube used to be a good place...but now it's turned into a corporate entity, almost, where greed and stupidity mix and mingle.
Dark0ne
Isn't that Starlord guy the YouTuber who was suggesting people should steal mods and upload them to the XBox section of Bethesda.net without permission, and then took the video down when he got a load of hate for it? Yeah...
repusDude
Meh, this will just add more views and exposure for his videos. Potential more subscribers and more monies to earn.
DrakeTheDragon
Meh, this will just add more views and exposure for his videos. Potential more subscribers and more monies to earn. That's exactly why he did the video after all. Only purpose is to rally an army of his blind followers and incite hate and cyber bullying of authors as a result. The number of all-out attacks against mod authors in general inside the comments was appalling already, and he himself was chiming in, but I didn't expect any different, as it's YouTube we're speaking of here, and the so-called reviewer in question is not an unknown one to me. He's part of the reason why so-called reviewers are having a hard time when getting in contact with me. I see no use in their existence, and the amount of harm they already caused has eliminated all good there ever was in them in my eyes long ago. But that's just me. ZeroKing
Isn't that Starlord guy the YouTuber who was suggesting people should steal mods and upload them to the XBox section of Bethesda.net without permission, and then took the video down when he got a load of hate for it? Yeah...The very same. Edited October 19, 2016 by ZeroKing
Imaras
It's the internet, people are allowed to be rude to each other, provided they don't do it somewhere where it's against the rules there is no real issue here, to me this looks like Starlord got trolled, he has thin skin and couldn't handle it and decided to raise a personal army to fight his battles for him in some kind of twisted revenge fantasy, it's just Internet drama and doesn't mean anything. Davidheat
True this "Star load" may have said some wrong things about stealing mods, witch i dont agree with as i for one would have loved F4se use as a form are Mod DRM, but the fact is if there is Video proof of Modders doing something wrong, as in Trolling other for just because/harassment should still be taken seriously as it still reflects every modder in todays Bais Media and if you look at the NCR mod as well there power armor ones, that comment/bug topics are gone, if they dont nothing wrong then they should have nothing to worry about.... conquerer
Yeah, those same modders had all of their discussion threads closed. So no support for their mods until it all blows over and people forget that DogtoothCG and Unoctium are horrible people. Either way, whatever this StarLord did or said in the past has nothing to do with the way these authors are acting. Nor does it justify it. Also, mod authors being against Youtubers is dumber than Sega's and Nintendo's policy against Youtubers.
AnvilOfWar
Either way, whatever this StarLord did or said in the past has nothing to do with the way these authors are acting. Nor does it justify it. Actually, it has everything to do with it, because context matters. If you are going to be a Youtuber, and support the very idea of outright theft of others work, don't be surprised when those who's work you steal, speak their mind about it, AND rightfully tell you to screw off in the process. He's attempting in the video to play the "I'm the victim card" by implying he doesn't have to state why he received said bad attention in the first place. This is also the same Youtuber that does not alter or correct information when even brought to their attention that the information is completely wrong and bogus. TDLR: He's just in it for the clicks, don't bother with the channel.
