ShazzaBaba Posted October 21, 2016 Share Posted October 21, 2016 Hi all, I'm playing a heavily modded Morrowind and everything has been going very smoothly after ~140 hours. However, I've just started the Dissapla Mine quest for the Fighter's Guild (Sadrith Mora) and have run into a pretty odd little issue. I go inside through the door and I'm immediately stuck inside with no way to move around as a big ol' tree root is in front of the doorway and completely traps my character. I've tried jumping and levitating my way out (and can easily warp out or even better going back out the door), but I can't find a way to progress further into the mine. I have thought of one way of fixing it in-game, by using the 'take my place' mod that I've applied to move my character out of the spot but I only briefly saw a guard walk around the bend and have no way of attracting his attention that I know of - maybe telekenisis, can that initiate conversation at distance? An easier way of course is why I'm here, I need to know if any mods I'm using would impact Dissapla Mine.I've gone through mods I've installed and come up with the following that may impact caves... - Cave Texture Fix By Slartibartfast- Correct Meshes by ZWolol- Mesh Fix 1.2 By Slartibartfast- Poorly Placed Object Fix version 1.2 By Slartibartfast- Poorly Placed Object Fix SN Walls+Rock Patch By Slartibartfast Can anyone help? Dragon32 Posted October 22, 2016 Share Posted October 22, 2016 Not sure it'd be any of those, maybe Poorly Placed Object fix. You could try using a grep tool (I use Textcrawler) to search your *.ES? files for the string "Dissapla", assuming that string is in the cell name. Should identify mod's affecting that cell. My Morrowind is based on this guide: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:MorrowindSo I just started to "dig" that root in the files until I found it. ^^ This is that root in the Dissapla Mine that's annoying: FILE: LOCATION: STATUS:flora_tree_gl_11.nif Morrowind / data files / meshes / f Very Annoying! ProfArmitage Posted May 2, 2018 Share Posted May 2, 2018 It's an issue with Vurt's Grazelands Trees II.From Supreme Ruler of Earth's Alternative to MGSO:"There is a minor bug! When entering the Dissapla Mine, your character will immediately become stuck on a branch which is protruding through the mine walls right inside the entrance. This occurs whether you have the ESP enabled or not. The tree exists in the vanilla game files and is only a problem because Vurt made the branches longer and thicker. So the bug is entirely incidental. You can use the console commands "fixme" or "tcl" to get your character unstuck, so it isn’t that big of a deal."
