ymf331
Hi, I'm using a mod called Unbelievable Grasses Two. It has a fix for the clipping it causes (grass coming up through stuff) and I was looking at it in xEdit. It overwrote some stuff from Realistic Water Two, which was fixable enough by changing load order, but I still have some conflicts with Hearthfires, Cutting Room Floor, and Immersive Citizens. I'm kinda' having a hard time figuring out what to do, since well the values are just a bunch of hex. My best guess would be that I just need the alpha layer data for what I'm assuming are the ground textures from the grass clipping fix, and the normals and height map from the other plugin. Can anyone either confirm this or set me straight? I'm trying not to break anything. edit: also, there's a value in the alpha layers called 'unknown' that the clipping fix sets to 0. another edit: eff it i'm just gonna' do it. ok... so just letting any conflicts overwrite the clipping fix and changing 'unknown' to 00 in all the alphas seems to at least not break the game, and i didn't see any weird artifacts running around in those cells. i pretty much expected that whatever i did would break my game, so that's lucky. also, i just replaced my grass with denser grass, replaced my trees with lusher, prettier ones, replaced the textures in my cities with better-looking ones, and did the thing with the new meshes on the roads. i was kinda' worried since i was only getting like 25 fps before doing all that, but my fps actually went up by a few lol.
