  1. predator vision might work better, at least it worked fine for me with vividian. it might depend on your settings though.
  2. like i tried to say, the pixelated fog happens when shadow resolution is set too low with vivid weathers. weather mods aren't compatible with each other. so even if you switch to a different combination of 2 different ones, they're still not compatible. every one i've encountered says as much in the description.
  3. i usually stick pretty close to a vanilla-style game, but between the orcish/dragonbone armors in the book of uunp and hunterborn with scrimshaw expanded it's pretty easy to put something together.
  4. elfx weathers and vivid weathers aren't compatible. the rest of elfx should be fine.
  5. it shouldn't be causing framerate issues. the armors use primarily vanilla textures. the plugin merely adds the new armors, crafting recipes for them, and changes leveled lists to distribute them. have you made any changes to your configuration files or added any other mods recently?
  6. the trick to doing anything new is kinda' just jumping in there and doing it. it'll work out.
  7. you can either remove the mod that's doing it, alter the script, or ignore it. netimmerse is an extension to papyrus that allows scripted control of body morphs, and is built into racemenu. there's an alpha version of racemenu available *for special edition, but bodygen doesn't work yet. probably one of your mods is either for oldrim or they missed that in a script when they converted it. if you find out which mod includes the fxsetblendvariable script that might provide a clue. either way, there's a good chance that your crashes have nothing to do with scripts.
  8. you're running something that's trying to invoke a feature of netimmerse override.
  9. i think difficulty-wise i can't really afford to crank it up at this point. i was using sic with hle to do skeletons outside at night which was pretty cool. i'm a fan of vivid weathers and with the lighting i use it gets pretty dark. i've never seen the first ghost, but that one's pretty nice.
  10. you should be able to fix the blocky fog/smoke by running the skyrim launcher and increasing the shadow quality. also, most weather overhauls aren't compatible, such as the weathers plugin from elfx and vivid weathers.
  11. the old version of skyrim, legendary edition, is a 32-bit program. only the 32-bit version of skse will work with it. skyrim special edition is a 64-bit program and therefore requires a 64-bit version of skse. an alpha version of 64-bit skse is currently available.
  12. thank you. realistic water changes the water type for entire worldspaces, which is overwritten when any other plugin changes anything further down the tree. loot only just goes by metadata, and doesn't inspect the plugins or discern which should go first.
  13. i can look at a list of 240 plugins, but i'm 90% sure i can't tell you which ones are causing dialogue problems. i realize it's overwhelming especially with that number of plugins. that's one reason i try to do it in increments as i'm building a load order. it's not something everyone is willing to do. it's not that complicated once you get the hang of it, but it's extremely time-consuming. i'm more than happy to answer any questions that you have. most people would tell you to run loot or check mod descriptions, but you've probably heard that at this point. when i started figuring out how the mods i use work together, all my problems seemed to magically go away. so that's the advice i give.
  14. gotta' run the skyrim launcher once and generate your configurations.
  15. yeah, but sometimes the color coding isn't all that matters. i've turned green records red by fixing them a lot of times. the only way to know anything is by looking.
  16. there's a list on the left naming all the plugins. in the blank space where there's no text, simply right-click.
  17. favorites should be up on the d-pad. really, the only buttons that aren't mapped are left and right. the left throttle is used to block. there isn't really a good way i can come up with to add much functionality, even using third-party programs and button combinations.
  18. my graphics card is even older, so i can tell you my experience. 2k textures should be fine. i used something called 'optimizer textures' to manually resize anything that was just stupid like a 2k leaf or ring or something. resizing the normal maps to 1k often makes a huge difference in performance with hardly any loss in visuals. also you can get optimized vanilla textures that will help a lot. be careful if you're resizing textures. read as much as you can before you do it and don't do your entire mod folder at once. as for enb, i'd advise against it. if you carefully place a mix of texture resolutions, you can get away with it at a playable fps, at least i could on a 550ti... but i switched to sweetfx and skge and it's a good compromise without the 30-40 fps loss.
  19. is the grass floating as in, up in the air? if that's the case then it's probably overwriting a heightmap from a dlc or something. otherwise, if it's like grass on steroids, raising imingrasssize to about 100 in skyrim.ini helps quite a bit.
  20. it should filter the entire list regardless of what you're browsing. depending on how many mods you have it might look like a mess when you get it all filtered.
  21. i'll bet it wouldn't be too hard to take the bear from this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/9634/? and slap this texture on it: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2809/?
  22. i don't think custom races are as much for spells as they are for using custom resources without altering any npcs.
  23. racemenu has netimmerse override built in. i'm pretty sure cbbe is included in bodyslide too. did you make sure nothing's overwriting xpmse and have vsync turned on or framerate capped? the files from bodyslide should overwrite hdt physics, then fair skin and bounce and jiggle should overwrite bodyslide. xpmse files should overwrite ragdolls and force. for plugins racemenu -> ragdolls -> xpmse.
  24. i'd think it would work fine if you installed steam on the external hard drive. if not, i guess you could always keep the base game on your c drive, and just install mod organizer on the external drive where all your mods would be kept with it.
  25. i'm pretty sure this would fix it though not the underlying issue...
