Xialoh
By that I mean, could I turn a powerful female mage into a greatsword wielding warrior? A Warrior into a rogue? Will just modifying the stats and giving them the gear do it, or is their AI set a certain way? Asking because I'm using Mjoll with my thief character (ironic I know) and I want her to be decent for sneaking around and maybe some ranged attacking. She serves fine as a tank in full consoled ebony gear so far though. I'd just like to make her a non factor when it comes to sneaking (so ideally, she's even better at sneak than me). Also, I've been told you can teach companions abilities, and, I think, give them perks. Is this true? Is it possible to see what perks they have? Thanks for any info. HI, I am afriad I don't know much about mods or if what you are asking is possible but I think at this time the creation kit has yet to come out, it comes out in February although not 100% and it is early days for mods like this on Nexus. So you might want to rebump this topic in a months time and see if anything that enables you do to this has come out. Sorry not very helpful but maybe someone else will know more? jy02521671
you can give companion perks, but you cant see what perks they have. you can however, see what level is their one-hand, heavy armor etc. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/383829_2903100496470_1229191623_33375325_1506445427_n.jpg follower 5 takes care of my horse when i go into dungeons Edited December 14, 2011 by jy02521671
Xialoh
Well that's pretty awesome. I'll try and make Mjoll into a pretty cool ranger/tank hybrid...shame I can't see what perks she already has though. I was hoping to fill in for shortcomings in perk choices. From the sounds of it, I'll end up just making her completely overpowered. Last night I cleared a bandit cave near Whiterun. Did it before on my mage, but I let her deal with the boss at the end herself. She finished him without much of an issue, though it took about a minute. What I don't want is for her to be capable of soloing dragons. Edit: Also, awesome dragon follower o_O. Does it fly around and do all the stuff dragons normally do as well? Xialoh
So I tried to add a bunch of perks to Mjoll. I targeted her in first person, then went into the perk tree and went through for ones I wanted to give her. I just used addperk and then the perk ID, going in order for ranked perks. I added perks all throughout about 4 trees, and only one time did it say "perk added to Mjoll the Lioness with rank 1" and that was for tower of strength. Re-adding this same perk again gives the same message every time. Are all the other perks I'm doing being added? Is tower of strength even being added? I can't really tell to be honest. I approached a giant and a mammoth, and she survived for about 25 seconds give or take. Pretty extreme test really, but I was looking for indication on tower of strength working. Does it fly around and do all the stuff dragons normally do as well?when you add perks, if 'compiled script not saved' does not appear, it means it has been applied. keep on adding the same perk will not double the perk effect, although it says "perk added to person" as to does dragon follower fly? yes they do. but i'd rather they dont, this is what happens when they flyhttp://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/390158_2907356082857_1229191623_33377273_1519635955_n.jpg Edited December 15, 2011 by jy02521671
Xialoh
Looks like flying is definitely a bad idea, lol. As to the perks, that's awesome if you're right. I thought everything was fine, it's just that if I check with the "hasperk" command, it turns up a 0 for most perks. Reconsidering that fact, I'm going to check to see if it doesn't turn up 0 for the most basic of perks. If it does, I suppose hasperk wouldn't be very reliable.
