What awaits a nightingale after death?

I gave up trying to figure out where the protagonist goes when he dies in a game a looooong time ago. Since the player does not actually fit in with the normal rules of the game world it pretty much throws everything out the window. There is what at least 4 places you can go. Sovngarde, The hunting grounds, the evergloam, the void, or if you followed any of the other Daedric Princes they could snatch you up, you could possibly become another dragon god if need be or you could just end up a ghost because come on 20 or 30 unfinished quests seems like unfinished business to me. crap I'm thinking about it again.

To make a list here.

1. Sithis is more powerful then any Daedra or Aedra. Your soul will go to the void above all else. Sithis is part of the creation of the entire universe. He is far more powerful then anyone you will ever directly meet in game.

2. Daedra have more power over mortals then Aedra due to the creation. I am pretty sure your soul will go to any Daedric prince before any Aedra god. Daedric princes would likely aurge over who gets your soul, or simply the one you served most will get your soul. Since the nightengale quest line is one of the biggest ones I am assuming you will go to Nocturnel if you do the thieves guild and not do the DB stuff.

3. As said above, the Aedra are in many ways weaker then Daedra. Aedra had to pretty much sacrifice most of their power to create Mundus. They have very little control over what goes on in the mortal world, while Daedra do. That and Aedra CAN die if killed. Daedra can not die. Ever. Since Soverngarde has a direct connection to Talos, it is a Aedric realm. You would go to Soverngarde if you did not help Sithis, or any Daedra. For those who do not know, the eight divines where part of the creation and were Aedra. Talos later became the ninth divine, but was not part of the creation. For any Thalmor out there, Talos is without question a divine. At the end of the Oblivion quest you got his blood to counter the Daedra artifact. If he did not become a Aedra the portal would not of worked.

4. If you serve no one at all, as said above you do have a Aedric soul (Dragons are probably Aedra since they are immortal unless killed, and have a mastery of time and other god like things. That and Tiber Septim got his soul from Akatosh, it can only be assumed all dragons come directly from Akatosh and due to that are Aedra.) My guess is that you would just go to Soverngarde or another Aedraic realm.

I read somewhere that heroes of the Elder Scrolls were "masters of their own fate." Perhaps, in the end, it is your character's choice where to go in the afterlife? After all, the whole game revolves around your choices. True, some paths lead to the same outcome, but it's up to you how you get there.

In the end? Sithis will get you. Being one of the 2 strongest forces there is, where 1 really don't care about you.

Before that? I guess the Aedra and Daedra will have a fight who gets you.
