"Large Address Aware" version of core .EXE coming?

I see comments on the "Skyrim4GB" mod discussion/comments page to the effect that a version of the main launch .EXE with "Large Address Awareness" enabled will be coming soon from Bethesda. If so, it means that no additional MODs or special .DLLs will be required to make use of system memory above 4GB, yes? I ask because I've never managed to get Skyrim4GB running on my Win-7 64-bit edition machine but want to make maximum use of the resources I paid for on the system (naturally).

Can anyone confirm (or better link to) Bethesda's plans to fix the core app so that those of us with 64-bit systems and/or more than 4GB of installed RAM can play the game using all available memory?

Thanks!

Beth announced yesterday "Folks have been asking me about the timing of the LAA update. The update is currently going through additional testing. As soon as it's ready to go live, we'll let you guys know." We'll just have to see how it works but it's a good sign that they're going through additional testing. The engine is still 32 bit so 4gig will be the max the game can use (plus however much your background processes and services use.)

Sooooo... how will that be LAA-aware then, if 4GB is the cap? That seems contradictory (sorry). What am I missing? Some MODs (mainly texture replacers with high resolutions) absolutely rely on >4GB RAM, otherwise all you see are black or empty textures. I've got 6GB installed currently.

Currently the vanilla .exe limits the game to 2 gig, the 4gb mods set the .exe to recognize and use more than 2 gig but a 32 bit engine can't address more than 4 gig. Still, we'll be able to eliminate one mod anyway (if they do it right!)

[Can't imagine how they could screw up such a simple operation but the fact that it's going into additional testing could indicate that they're re-coding an additional .exe for people with 64 bit systems (which would allow more than 4 gig). Not holding my breath on that one though!]

Technically 32 bit programs can only access 3.5gb, there's no real difference if you have 3gb or 4gb as the LAA flag simply allows it access anything more than 2gb up to 4gb (because they don't make RAM sticks by the half gig!) [Edit: Anymore!]
