That shouldn't have any problems with it, it'll look a lot better than it will on some ageing console and you'll be able to mod it, it's a no brainer.

Time to wheel this out again. :thumbsup:

It doesn't bother me, I've got a 360 and PS3 too. Anyone who limits themselves because of blind loyalty to one platform is a Muppet, they miss out on games for no good reason.

Have I said something about glorious PC gamers? Dirty console gamers?

The games on consoles are simplier. Less complex. Less precise. That's a fact.

Also, this was about TES. Don't you think mods and console are rather significant part of it? What kept and keeps Oblivion (and Morrowind, still) alive isn't that it plays nice with a controller...

Why people always have to catch a sentence and miss the point.

And hey, I have console. Two in fact.

@OP

I tend to not click on links, but after clicking, yes, you are safe and I do believe you will be able to even enjoy the graphics with that.

Well, apart from the usuall Beth-tech-difficulties. And Steam. In both cases, it doesn't really matter whether your computer is great or ancient relic.

The hardware on that laptop is capable of playing the game on High towards Very High settings at that resolution. It will certainly look better than either console and at a higher resolution too. As for the mods higher resolution texture packs, etc... I think you already know the answer there. :)

I never suggested you said anything, I wasn't replying to you.

Normally I would have intervened to nitpick and say that I think you could choose a better laptop brand, but upon checking out you HP laptop, it looks pretty good for the price. Must be on account of the refurb status. I think an ASUS or Lenovo brand laptop is usually the way to go (a little pricier for higher quality and more reliability and less garbage, better reviews) but for the price you're getting that lappie at, I think it's good.

So yes, PC all the way. The laptop can handle it, and Medium settings will look better than the XBOX - which is roughly Low settings quality. Plus, you can still play with a controller if you want to.
