sweet5050
So, I finally finished my Morrowind 32 hours ago, with my Khajiit Nerevarine, but one question that i don't get... Because Daedra in Morrowind, or even in the whole TES games, are evil, right? and why is Azura, one of the "Real" gods of Tamriel, is kinda, nice, and not going to kill you, even if you finished your task in wiping out the blight, she's still not going to kill you.. why is that?? (if i am not asking a dumb question, yay.)
nosisab
Not all daedric lords are inherently evil, some have obscure agenda perhaps but not necessarily trying to destroy everything, Actually each one has a proper "sphere" and acts second it. AurianaValoria1
^This. :P Another example would be the Daedric Lord Meridia. She despises the undead, and promotes life in all forms.
sweet5050
Oh, Okay. I think her only bad thing is the pure lust to kill those false-gods.
Lodur9000
Daedra Princes are generally self-interested and concerned with their Spheres, manipulating mortals to that end. Several are inherently destructive - Mehrunes Dagon and Molag Bal for example - but most are neither really good or evil. Some are beyond understanding in those terms, like Hermaeus Mora. Some of the Daedra Lords who seem benevolent one moment can quickly turn antagonistic - Meridia might hate the undead but she was also willing to aid Umaril, a cruel Ayleid lord, against the rebelling human slaves, and Azura cursed an entire race just because she was annoyed with three members of it. Eltoneyes
The Daedric Lords are split into groups. They are all Daedra, but races consider some to be evil and some to be... not evil. Still, Daedric Worship is taboo everywhere except Morrowind. 777trips777
I think that the Deadric Princes( / Princesses ?) are all aspects of things in life. TES has lots of spiritual references to real life questions and answers and s*** like that; it's cool. An example being Sheogorath; he's the deadric prince of madness, insanity, and psychotria. Azura is the princess of astrology/astral-projection or something like that. It's all cool and s***. Smoak moar chill out
