Ethreon
How exactly do you want the mod manager to change the way the engine works? You don't seem to understand the 255 is a limit put in place by Beth.
lizzisbow
Currently there is no automatic sorting for SSE with Nexus Mod Manager
Fireshiata
Yea, well start feeling disappointed. Tannin is not working on MO anymore. Some folks on reddit seem to have come up with solutions: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/59s8z9/guide_mod_organizer_with_special_edition/
ArizonaSteve
Just looked at that - apparently Tannin pulled some changes that were made by other Redditors so there is hope that he will update MO.
SMB92
From what I understand they making new NMM with author from MO. Regarding these other things like merging and 255 limit, 1. Merging is not simple task that should be trusted to automatic tools, one is better off manually doing that or leaving to author and 2. Until DRAM can match the speed of L2/L3 cache, you probably don't want any more than 65k addresses for formids, lag would be terrible. Thats my first thought when talking about converting esp table to 64-bit.
CyniclyPink
There is a guy on Reddit that has got MO working well enough to be able to install and manage mods. I'm using it now. I drop my mods into the download folder and use MO to install. I manually sort the load order. Works fine, but I'm not installing a shite load of Mods till SkyUI (or similar) and Skse64 are released. I don't have to clutter up the Data folder while I wait for the new NMM. https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/59s8z9/guide_mod_organizer_with_special_edition/

BlueGunk
Some of the Reddit alterations don't appear to work and, certainly, renaming SSEEdit to TES5Edit is a waste of time. The author of that says it will not work that way. If by this page I might make a plea to Tannin to leave MO2 in a reasonably working state for us MO users until he creates his new software? I have tried using NMM but it is like wading through treacle. Thanks

SirTwist
To the OP, do a search, and read what you can. The easiest way to merge mods is to watch Kal's guide on merging mods. You can search for him on Youtube under the user name Dirty Weasel Media. Using the editor, and the Merge Plugin for the editor is the best way. Second, is using the standalone merge plugin, by the same author. I prefer MO over NMM as it currently stands. I use NMM for only one game, and MO for everything else. Anyway, NMM, with Tannin at the helm, might become much better than it has ever been. I find that NMM lacks in so many way, right now.
