LOOT and Skyrim remastered

MO2 Beta 3 is the last version of MO2 that Tannin will release (reasons) and unfortunately it didn't reach a full stable version as for example MO 1.3.11 is one. MO2 was also developed for FO4, I have my doubts that tricking it into "working" for SSE is the way to go, especially given the previous things mentioned. In any case, MO/MO2 are not supported by LOOT, meaning that MO-only issues regarding LOOT will likely not be tackled by the LOOT team.

If you see that wrinklyninja removes a snapshot, please do NOT reupload it - it probably has it's reasons why it got removed. I've edited my previous post to reflect the change (what happened here was that wrinklyninja merged the SSE support branch into the dev branch, which occasionally messes with snapshot-subversion-numbers).

The currently most recent snapshot is now "loot_0.9.2-139-g65e0303_undo-syntax-change.7z".

ok.

and while i'm thinking of it. Mod Organizer is opensource, so those guys on reddit are welcome to modify it as they see fit.

You don't need the API archive, that is for other tool makers so that they can utilize LOOT's functionality. And the .tar archives aren't for Windows in the first place. The normal "loot-soandso_dev.7z" with no API and tar in it's name is everything what's needed for the normal user (on Windows).

My current problem with LOOT is that it doesn't even pick up my other mods besides the default files provided by Bethesda (Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, Dragonborn.esm, Dawnguard.esm, Hearthfire.esm). How I make LOOT detect my other mods?

Thanks!

i run it from within NMM and i have few issues with it. Some mods still make skyrimSE dork it but those i just disable.

I tried to get Loot v9.2 working with Skyrim SE but, it is reading the original Skyrim's skyrim.esm. Since both master files are the same & you can't rename the SSE's master file to SkyrimSE.esm. Also, it not reading the github's masterlist.yaml (https://github.com/loot/skyrimse.git) either.

For LOOT sorting on Skyrim Special Edition since I am installing the same mods for SE that I have installed on normal Skyrim that LOOT has sorted. So I look at that load order and copy it's relative position in SE.

Do you really need to uninstall Loot? I still play the OG Skyrim. I guess you can't have different versions running at the same time? That said Loot has also stopped working with the OG Skyrim. >.<

Current stable LOOT (v0.9.2) from the main download page does not recognise SE you need to install one of the current test builds from here - https://bintray.com/wrinklyninja/loot/LOOT#files <-- this link via the links on the LOOT forum thread.

loot_0.9.2-144 is the latest, it will recognise SE

You can have more than one LOOT installed as you just create new folders using the LOOT version number and run whatever one you want. I keep 0.9.2 in the original Skyrim folder and 0.9.2-144 in the SE folder. Doesn't matter really but I do that just for housekeeping.

When you start up LOOT you see at the top, a house icon with a widget, click it and select "TESV: Skyrim Special Edition"

Bob's your uncle.
