Ok, when i click play the game starts up. I choose continue from last save and it starts loading but at the point from loading is finished and the game should begin it simply stops. I get a message in a small white box saying that some problem is causing the game to stop functioning correctly and windows will let me know if a solution comes up.

Now I have tried to go into properties for the game and changed it to windows service pack 3 and clicked play as a admin, and also done the same to fallout3.launcher but to no awail. Some people have adviced me to download a mod form this place but god damn there are so many to pick . please help. please excuse the bad english but im danish.

Install this, it requires FOSE. It's called New Vegas Anti Crash but it does work for FO3. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53635/?

Make the game 4GB enabled http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/6510/?

And get rid of GFWL http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/1086/?

How exactly does one install the New Vegas Anti Crash on Fo3? I am confused where to put any of the files that are downloaded with the New Vegas Anti Crash.

Put the Nvac.dll in Data\fose\plugins.

So I have tried all of these except I used CFF Explorer to manually allow the game to use more than 2 GB of memory (as suggested by gopher: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tONiXNbwSt0) and I'm still getting a crash after I click Continue from last save (during Please Wait or Loading screen). This all started happening after Nexus updated to 0.63.5. New Vegas won't start either. I try to start using the 4 gb se enabler (file name fnv4gb.exe). I have tried moving my Nexus Mod Manager Program folder from Program Files into Program Files(x86) because that fixed it last time this happened, but did not this time. I'm at a loss and a bit of a newb. I have seen that changing values in certain .ini files has helped some people, but I'm unsure which values to change. Thanks for any input I get, I'm sure it will all be helpful!

Oh and I have just updated all my drivers (GPU and CPU) recently. Not sure if that might be relevant.

That is your problem. Both of the new Nvidia and AMD drivers have rendered numerous games unplayable.

In order of NVAC and FOSE to work properly, Fallout 3 must be installed in a location other than "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)".

You should go to the New Vegas mods nexus and read the comments on the New Vegas Anti Crash pages.

I have a XPS 8900 with Win 10 Home which ran my Fallout GOTY fine until the Anniversary Update Sept 25th. Then ran into several problems launching Fallout GOTY. Went to Steam to find a solution (although I have the disks but figured someone would post a "fix" there) I finally downloaded the 9 driver from Skyforce and installed in my Fallout 3 folder. Now it runs although my OEM Nvivdia 745 card is not recognized (Options keep showing I am running the older 8800). Finally got my FOMM running as Admin so all my mods will work.

I downloaded the utility but haven't tried installing it yet.

The one thing I have not done is update all my Geforce Drivers to the latest version as I didn't see a need (still using 361 driver version). Being on a metered Satellite Internet connection hampers any HUGE update downloads (including the obligory Win 10 ones) Good thing I didn't or else I would Really be in trouble as I really enjoy playing this game and all the mods.

I bought the GOTY shortly after it came out to play the game on an eight year old Inspiron 530 WinXP I had. Well, until the motherboard went "south" late last year. Was so glad the game could be played on a Win 10 even with a bit of "tweaking".
