NCRForever
So, for some reason my FPS is hitting upwards of 90+. I only have a GTX 960. This is a huge issue, because of the massive tearing and stutters. So, is there a way to limit the FPS?
iXenite
Maybe this article can help you. Adaptive VSync:http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/adaptive-vsync/technology
NCRForever
I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
NCRForever
No go. Activating that caused it to hit over 100 fps. Any other ideas?
iXenite
Maybe this then? http://support.enmasse.com/tera/enable-v-sync-to-fix-graphics-issues-screen-tearing
NCRForever
That's basically the same. I don't think v-sync in any form will help. I have everything set at ultra and the fps is just outrageous.
iXenite
It's probably an .ini file thing you'll have to do then. Not really sure how to do that though. Sorry. EDIT: Someone on the Nexus posted some information that might help you. It links a guide on how to enable vsync, so hopefully that helps you with your problem. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4988160-fix-to-anyone-who-experiences-low-framerates-fps-drops-in-skyrim-se/ Edited October 28, 2016 by DaddyDirection
NCRForever
I've fiddled with my inis. I used some from FO4 and most have worked. Whoa! Wait. That's the issue. You made me remember that I disabled somethings in there. Grrr..... Thanks dude. Let me see if that will fix it.
NCRForever
So, after fiddling again, my fps is 60 to 80. Much better. Some stutters and a few slight tearings. But, it's now playable.
iXenite
Hopefully you can manage to get it to stay at 60 at some point. I think we all know how wonky Bethesda's engine physics can get at framerates higher than 60.
