Daedric Glow Recolors

Honestly not sure if anyone else has made a topic about how to do this, but there is a way to recolor the glows from daedric armor and weapons. You will need a program to open .nif files. I used nifskope (link below for download.) You also need to extract the mesh files (obviously.)

Open the mesh file with nifskope, find the area of the glow and click on it. Now, on the left side in the "Block List" section you'll see options for the effects. From here hit the tab on the left of it and go down to the "txt" portion from the extended tab. Scroll down in the "Block Details" section and find the area where the color is highlighted. Use the color wheel to change the color.

Saving the file was a odd. The first time I did it, the recolor didn't work. The second time I changed how I saved it so... I suggest saving the recolored mesh to your desktop or a folder other than the data folder on your hard drive. From here simply drag and drop just like any other recolor file, but make the "meshes" folder instead of textures (obviously.....)

The files on your hard drive should be.... Steam > SteamApps > common > skyrim > data > meshes > (weapons or armor, depending which the mesh is of) > daedric

Pretty simple, quick and effective way to change the color of the glow! Enjoy!
