Might try Deadly Wenches as well. You can set them to legendary and they will own you. They do all sorts of interesting hurtful things. Hybrid classes

The blademaster bandits will stealth attack you lol. Nasty surprise.

Doesn't change anything but adding very strong enemies to a lot of the leveled lists, including the civil war.

Don't let the screenshots of the mod bother you, it will use the bodies and armor you have installed.

lol hilarious stuff. ive checked a video and i dont think its possible to beat those on legendary especially because they regen health and i bet the regen is % based :P

still i saved it i maybe play that on expert or master one day

The best for a good balance is discipline. If you are using every opportunity to enhance your charakter, Skyrim will be always to easy.

But you should try MorrowLoot Ultimate and Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim.

morrowloot seem amazing. exactly what i was looking for

I confess, I cannot handle them on Legendary.. but I can only tolerate one follower at a time. Taking civil war forts took 15 minutes, if I managed, and that was with them also spawning as Imps to help me. Expert is iffy :)

Besides the game play overhaul mods, you could check out these individual ones as well:

Frostfall & Campfire (and Hunger in the North when Chesko finally debuts it) <--- NO GAME IS WORTHY OF PLAYING WITHOUT THESE 2 AT MINIMUM.

Wet & Cold, Holidays mods. (may you die from your over exposure to hypothermia for foolishly attempting to navigate the frigid waters of the Sea of Ghosts in fur armor.......)

Population Skyrim HELL Ed. (does exactly what it says on the tin. You've been warned)

CWO (because even if you don't care for the civil war game aspect, you want life to be as realistically unpredictable as possible right? If so, installing this will make your PC's travels around Skyrim a more challenging experience. Especially if they're dumb enough to perform non civil war related actions causing aggro on either side. Like riding dirty around Solitude city proper in your terrorist Storm Cloak armor. Or just trying to safely navigate from wilderness point A to your $$$$ HF manor at C --- through Imperial infested Whiterun hold if you managed to piss off both City AND hold guards etc. etc.

Immersive Patrols (because your PC enjoys the fellowship --and unwanted attention--of various roaming NPC factions while out on the road. Especially the ones that consistently stalk, hunt, and succeed in murdering them.....)

Supreme & Volumetric Fog, CoT or RCRN (superior weather mod overhauls that make sneaking around even better)

Minty lightning mod (so your Dovahkin can experience that 1 in a 1E+06% odds of being vaporized by lightning strikes

Jaws & Sea of Spirits. (Basic kill or be killed snorkeling the murky depths of Skyrim's waters). Be warned the marine fauna of the former will attempt to murder your PC every opportunity they get. The nightmare denizens of the later will absorb your PC's soul.....

RWS, Hunterborn and Animallica (because murderous fauna. And getting diseases while hunting fauna for sustenance is how Nords earn a one way express pass to Sovengarde faster. Especially in a time of war where much by means of basic food staples from farming or imported luxuries from Cyrodil should be scarce, right?)

RND or IMCN (because your PC either eats or dies from malnourishment. What's the point of markets & food stuff all over the province if none of it can be digested??)

Private Needs (adds bladder/bowels because your PC's food has to get processed somewhere. Accidentally wetting yourself and/or constipation can be somewhat discomfiting. Especially in battle)

Battle field and Injuries (health, wounds, injury mod)

First Aid (adds craftable lore friendly resources & compliments Battlefield Injuries

Northern Bath houses, Showers in Skyrim, Bathing in Skyrim (because hygiene right? No? Well because you can't effectively barter if you're stinking like the subterranean dungeon crawler you are) Your PC will die if wounds become infected cuz your PC is too nasty or lazy to bathe frequently. Or both...

BFT Carriages & Ships and/or Touring carriages. (Former if your Dovaphile has a bigger beer belly than Buddha. The latter because fast travel is simply ridiculous in a survival mod setting. right?)

Immersive Horses (just get this one and forget about it. Because Convenient Horses is a bit outdated)

****BRG Gourmet (adds food crafting, cooking & preparation for 200+ new Skyrim & exotic foods, 700+ ingredients, 1000+ recipes......)

I wax hot and cold on this. In real life we would die after only a hit or several with a sword. It's not real for us or NPC's to take 20 or more; arrows also. The best for me would be if I and any opponent dies rather quickly, especially with critical hits.

As it is I don't really wear armor, except for perhaps regular iron from time to time because of the look. Just regular common clothes. I get by very well, even when dabbling with Requiem. Tactics also rule. Always a warrior: usually greatsword and bow.

I guess my point is that being able to kill enemies quickly with a few slashes or arrows is rather realistic. And our enemies should be able to do the same to us.

Check out grvulture's mods, as well as Requiem, the various ways in which Frostfall, Wet and Cold, etc. can be tweaked, the various reworks of the many Erkeil mods, etc. I like Requiem but right now I'm just running a variety of mods of the

standard game and, believe me, from my view they make for a very challenging game. Also, I've got all my followers set at non-essential and I lost two out of the four in the run through Bleakfalls, and that's with me running in and hitting

them with health restoration. I felt a bit like a healer in WOW. If you want to make it even more challenging, play as an "Elder Race" character. You'll spend most of the time from level one to fifteen just upgrading stamina and health. Plus, there are lots of small mods that tweak events like injury from falling and other minor events that, combined, make life in Skyrim just that little bit more hazardous. You can make Skyrim just about as hard as you want it if you put the time in on mod search. Also, if you don't already, be prepared to work on your archery, long range magic, and sneak skills. You gonna need that, especially at the beginning and early levels. I'm at level eleven, got my archery up to forty-seven, wear a archery circlet that boosts twenty percent, and I went through about fifty Orcish arrows on one Draugher in Bleakfalls and it was still the followers that took him down. I could barely make a dent in 'ol bonehead. At the early levels in my game,

if you close for mano a mano with a bad buy, you goin' down with one shot. I'm wearing Orcish armor and it's no better than wearing Hide. I let my followers cover my tookus a very large part of the time. Planning ahead is a necessity for me.

Ya know, I think I'll download that mod which enables one to bury a follower and put up a marker. Also, when they're gone, I save, quit, open NMM, and deactivate that mod. Wonder how long it'll be before I run out of charmods?
