KennethKarl
I think this game is just awesome, but coming off of FNV & FO3 I have one greivance. I am rather dissapointed in the amount of dialogue choices. I loved the amount of dialogue choices in FNV and FO3 (And if you point out that FNV was made by Obsidian to me I'll throw a coffee mug at you! I'm quite aware!). In Skyrim the dialogue feels so very limited. I did just pay off your drinking depts the least you could do is say THANK YOU!!!
cooltrickle
I can't helping thinking a lot of the game design was based around the need to fit it all on one disk, hence the low-res textures and limited dialogue choices. I posted a thread earlier with a suggestion of how to increase the amount of dialogue and complexity by having some of the races be text-only, while speaking a sort of gibberish language, like the aliens in the KOTOR games. abaris
What you said, plus the not reacting NPC world in general - questlines and their lack of impact included.
Collingwood
The followers because they have nothink to say and just repeat what they said all ready. Unlike in Fallout new vegas when they could talk about everythink such as there backstory, goals and there views about the main quest. Just seemes to me that Bethesda cant make good follwers :/. Which makes me not want to have followers with me in Skyrim as it just ruins the mood.
cooltrickle
Followers need: 1. Better Combat AI: don't get in the way, and don't block my LOS, so I can't see/hit the enemy.2. Command wheel, like in New Vegas.3. An interesting back-story. Veronica was a decent companion in New Vegas. Even though she only had two lines when you asked her to open inventory, it didn't get annoying, because she had such a great personality. I think people are less forgiving about the followers in Skyrim, because they have paper-thin personalities.
TimF
By quite many things. Esp. in comparison with Fallout. 1) UI2) Totally awful and unbalanced character development and leveling.3) Dumb linear quests with very limited choices and interactions, dumb NPCs.4) Tonnes of bugs. On the bright side - the Skyrim world itself is piece of art. When construction kit is out... 2cooltrickle Hell, even Rex is better than any follower in Skyrim... Lyanheart
I was expecting Skyrim to be the next evolution of Bethsoft's style of game, like an improved/advanced version of New Vegas (which I still feel is the current standard). Very disappointed to find it was more like an updated version of Oblivion, which I also loved, but just wasn't as refined as New Vegas. The story lines just are not as deep, the quests are simpler, and there is less variety. Skyrim as a game is excellent, I love it, and I think it will be vastly improved once the CK is released. As it stands, though, I just don't have the constant desire to get back into the world like I did with New Vegas and even Oblivion before it. runicNomad
dialog unfortunately is limited to the voice acting... mehneed lots more voice acting or text. I want more dialog about where the quest I need to go on is located no insta map update. I want more interesting dialog after finishing a quest other than your a real pal follow me.the dialog and the kinda buggy quest system where I might screw something up if I dont follow it the "right" way are things I dont like. badboyobubby
How about not being able to play it anymore. I liked the game, it's addictive no matter what people say, maybe that's why we complain so much.Lack of variety in weaponry and items, no more short swords or pauldrons is another complaint
Einarth
Geography. Can't stand the giant snow globe with those huge unusable mountain areas. Other than that, what Abaris said (not reacting npc world and lack of impact of questlines). Couldn't care less about textures.
