abaris
There were also the Oblvion gates. They added a good bit of territory to explore, and succeeded in being creepy. There were only three or four of them, repeated ad nauseam. And they got old pretty quickly.
KennethKarl
There is something wrong with being forced to become a werewolf to complete the questline, as not all aspects of being good at combat involve the kind of brute strength possessed by a werewolf. Therefore I think there should have been a branching of the Companions quest where you could choose to become a werewolf or not, depending on your combat style. If you chose not, then you would have to do more quests to prove your worth, to become leader. After all, not all of the Circle are happy with their werewolf nature, so it would not be out of place. I know of at least two people that have not been able to cure the lycanthropy by the method that is supposed to be the way to go, and they have either had to use the console or reload a save. For your information, the way I roleplay my characters, my toon Emilie is not only a sneaky little kleptomaniac who can pick any lock, she can also cast and is mistress of the bow and one handed blade. She is a nifty little hybrid who is entirely worthy of the title Archmage and Thieves Guild Master. My argument is that she also has enough combat skills (as well as smithing) to be worthy to lead the Companions. But I did not give her the pretty face she has to turn her into an ugly dogbreath werewolf. Joking apart, no it doesn't make sense that the Main Quest is tied up as it is with the College and the Thieves Guild (for characters that are not that way inclined), it does not make sense that some of the Word Walls are stuck in Guild quest accessible only dungeons, or that one of the artifacts that would be of use to a thief is stuck in the DB Sanctuary, making you have to join the DB to complete the (you know which quest I mean, this is not the spoiler section unfortunately...) What we needed are alternatives, branches, but there is a group of modders at TES Alliance who are itching to get their hands on the CK so they can do exactly what I am suggesting. I agree with you. Know what I think? Lycanthropy should be as much of a curse as it is a gift. The only disadvantage is not being able to sleep well? BS!!! Lycanthropy IMHO should be uncontrollable! Say you're in the middle of town and BAM! You just transformed against your will! Now you are an outcast and everyone you hold dear wants your head on a pike! So you run to the wilderness and hide, knowing that you're status as Harbinger, and/or Archmage (not so much Listener or Master of the thieves guild.) will be stripped from you. NO! Instead the city gaurd will put a 1000 gold bounty on you're head and once that's cleared up no one will care! There's my rant for the day. phaota
Not sure why anyone would want to download the game anyway considering the size. Best to buy it on DVD and install the game normally from it. 27 hours of waiting for a DL to complete? Forget that.
ginnyfizz
Talking of another thing to dislike.... Outrage over outage Not being able to access your games when Steam goes here we go looby loo. BucMan55
Honest answer: Lack of Class customization. Yes you can use whatever skills you want and have your character do what you want as far as game play style goes. But in the end they aren't much different. You don't have to make any choices that have consequences(for character creation). Don't like the bow you started out using and instead prefer dual wielding?? No biggie. Don't like dual wielding and instead want to be a mage wearing heavy armor?? Go right ahead. Sure, you might suffer a bit from the levels you already gained using skills you don't use anymore, but you'll catch up eventually. There is no class, there is only hero. Good in an adventure/Zelda type game. Not so good in an RPG where your job/class/profession is a huge part of your character.
Zebideedee
The dog mission, can't remember it's name, but I followed him for about 30 minutes while he glitched and didn't know where the destination was. Hobo, he wasn't!
Fenerick
What I hate most is hitting the R key when storing stuff in my house chest to have everything end up in my inventory giving me a weight in the thousands. The fact that R stores stuff to the chest from your inventory one item at a time, but R empties the chest completely into your inventory without a "Are you sure?" prompt sucks. Using the inventory interface for this game makes the game an unpleasant task every time it comes to selling and storing your possessions. I alternate between having fun and then having to do an unpleasant task trying to sell and store my goods.

But I keep reading post on how bad and repetitive they are from so many people that I often wonder why do I enjoy them so much, strange.
Deleted3362774User
I hate the lack of exploration, or at least how it is broken. The world is expansive and beautiful, yet there is nothing special to see, and no point in exploring. Furthermore, it is nearly impossible to explore anywhere on foot, yet horses are god gifted mountain climbers. I really wish the daedric shrines were not pointed to by quests, and instead you had to find them, and then do a quest from there to get a reward. I also wish there were more of them in difficult locations, rather than getting daedric artifacts through short easy quests some of which start in major cities. For such an immense world, there really isn't much to go and see
