TobyTravis
So... spellbreaker has the enchantment of making a ward to block 50% elemental damage, an the block perk "Elemental Protection" does the same, so am I right in thinking I can block ALL magic damage with this shield??? Alex4921
By the looks of it,it does seem to me that yes with that perk and this shield you should be able to block 100% magical damage which means you will be able to boss your way through most battles. Ghogiel
kinda pretty much. though the shield is a magic resist and not elemental. And it doesn't block 50%, it blocks 50 points of damage like ward, which would be more powerful in most circumstances. the down sides you have to be blocking to make it effective With enchanting you can get more than 20% magic resist + another enchant on any shield if you wanted. Combined with the alteration perks that's over 50% magic resist. You can add another combined 40%+ magic resist with your amulet and ring. Basically making you immune to magic even while not blocking Edited December 17, 2011 by Ghogiel
Khorak
There is a cap of 85% (give or take 5 I think...) on spell resistances. You can never be fully immune to anything but disease and poison. If you're obsessed with magic resistance, you might as well roll up a Breton (25%), use the Lord Stone (25%), and then get all three levels of magic resist in the Alteration tree (30%). Now you don't even need an ugly shield. Edited December 17, 2011 by Khorak
