camdoz
One of the first things I see out in the distance in the mountains... Z-Fighting...really Bethesda? On the Remaster? It was such a pain in the balls in the last version but you couldn't fix it in this one? It's not nearly as much but STILL it's VERY noticable in the mountains out toward the west from Whiterun and it shouldn't exist at all in your remaster come on that is just dropping the ball...Z-Fighting???... Using default Ultra ini settings...Now I have to screw around with it forever to try and fix it, or just live with it...If there's one graphical glitch you could have fixed, Z-fighting is one of them OMG that is a rookie move, releasing a remaster of your game with the same notorious z-fighting bug...Just the principle of it man! It was such a well known screw up in the last game....
Boombro
Wait a sec, you mean the one near white run (when you arrive from riverwood.)?
bill8872
I see the same thing all over the place, but Whiterun is the most noticeable.I read on a different thread, that the Unofficial Patch might be the reason. Some have disabled it, and this goes away. They are aware of this, and other bugs, and working on it.
SMB92
I'm still with completely vanilla, i see they upped the terrain manager settings considerably, but I can still see a little bit of it. As far as I'm concerned this is a problem with lots of games, and also drivers have a hand in it.

Disabling the unofficial patch now and seeing if it helps.... EDIT: Well f*#@ me sideways, it was the unofficial patch causing the major issues...sorry Bethesda...and thanks bill8872! dayglo98
Yeah I was gonna say, this issue is because of the Unofficial patch. I had postponed installing it until yesterday, I thought I read they had removed everything LOD related in said patch but I read wrong. So now I have this ugly ass z-fighting. SMB92
The only game with big open world that I haven't really seen this in was W3. And on some of the other I see it in, the Nvidia card i have now has less of it than my old AMD. Â I wonder if they tried to fix/cover z-fighting in USLEEP originally. triptherift
Actually, that is one of the fixes I noticed - the z-fighting appears to be gone around Whiterun @4k screen resolution and AMD 295x, Ultra settings. I go back to the original game and whoop there it is.
goranpaa
I have a very slight and random Z fighting with TAA on. But it's really horrible when using FXAA. I run the Unofficial patch though. TAA, cures the horrible, crawling bright textures around objects edges that tormented me in the old game. :D Edited November 3, 2016 by goranpaa
