buttluver Posted November 1, 2016 Share Posted November 1, 2016 Hello.I've managed to figure out how to use some of the old Skyrim mods for the new SSE system.But the one thing that I just can not figure out is why a lot of my favorite follower mods will not work with SSE.Almost always they have the hair, brows, and eyes missing when playing.I load the follower mod into the new Creation Kit for SSE and I get some message saying there is a missing body part.Also something about converting texture files offline (whatever that means). Specifically the Alistair follower and the Cassius follower.(I should mention that on the "old" Skyrim the mods work perfectly)I'm sure there are other faves of mine that won't work either I guess.Does anyone know how to make follower mods work with SSE or why there are missing body parts? My follower retains her hair, eyes and eyebrows after saving the mod with CK but has the "Default" face. Just curious, does Nifmerge just do the morphs or was it changing out the Ninode types as well? I'm guessing the latter. I'd like to keep those new SSE types intact for obvious reasons. Unless Expired comes to rescue with Backward Import & Modern Export capabilities in new Racemenu & you are NifSkope Savy?? Then here hope, if your savy enough. Even then it just for personal use & probably not worth the effect, move on. ATM there no fix for this, save yourself the heart ache of constant failure. Here a simple check list.Does Follower have Scripts ->Forget it(no save cleaner last time I check)*Does Follower have Face Gen Data (no) ->Forget itDoes Follower have Incorrect Face Gen Data ->(Trial & Error Sorry)Open in CK64 & Save.Does Follower have Correct Face Gen Data & no Scripts->Open in CK64 & Save. buttluver Posted November 2, 2016 Author Share Posted November 2, 2016 Sort of an update I guess.I was able to get the Cassius working - sort of - lolI decided to edit the nif file of Cassius using NifSkope.Selected the NEW textures from Skyrim Special Edition and then saved the nif file afterwords.(Obviously the original nif was using the old textues)I actually got lucky with this since ALL of the textures for Cassius's nif file were in SSE - the author of the mod didn't create any new textures for the follower's body or face.So long story short, after reloading the Cassius mod into SSE Creation Kit and saving it, it worked!
