shingouki2002
Trying to port a simple mod of mine. Just two models involved, one is skinned. Problem is, the CK crashes whenever I try to view the files, or in game, giving me the error "TEXTURES: Should have been converted offline" before it ultimately crashes.Could use some help fixin this! buttluver
I'm getting that "textures should have been converted offline" message as well. However, the CK does not crash. What the **** does that message mean??Is there a step that I need to do to "convert" the textures? And if so - what is it? skyler544
I'm having this problem as well. The CK crashes as soon as I try to edit a world model for a weapon mod

mikeynexus
Same here. CK opens the mod and saves it no problem, but as soon as I try to open any cell "Textures should have been converted offline" and crash. It is definitely a texture problem: 1) activate my mod in SSE and play. CTD on load.2) hide my mod's textures folder, play: no CTD but of course all my mod elements are purple. Can walk around Riverwood and go into stores no problem.3) hide all normal maps, play: loads ok, can walk around Riverwood ok and several of my mod elements are visible. Go into Riverwood Trader - CTD after load screen.4) hide all glow and normal maps, play: loads ok, can walk around Riverwood ok and several of my mod elements are visible. Go into Riverwood Trader - CTD after load screen. Let's share info and try to solve this: I haven't found anything anywhere that suggests a cause or solution. mikeynexus
*** SOLVED *** for me - how about you? After some experimentation I found a cause/solution: My mod was using textures with an unusual aspect ratio: 1.23:1 (630:512).When I changed the size of the textures to use a simple 1:1 aspect ratio all my problems disappeared: I can view/handle my mod elements in the game, and I no longer get the warning message or crash in the CK. Let me know if it works for you, because there might be other causes I haven't found yet. buttluver
As usual have to again say that I am by no means an expert but I think I have another idea why the "textures should have been converted offline" message happens to a follower mod I've been trying to convert to SSE.I went into the nif file using the latest NifsKope viewer and examined the textures that are attached to the nif.Found out that the links to the textures are all pointing to the OLD Skyrim folder! So reset the links to the new SSE folder and I don't get that annoying textures should have been converted message. So that's one less mystery (at least for me) ;)
dwharper34
I am using some CBBE nifs and textures from Skyrim. They have the 1:1 aspect ratio. I have converted them to run with Skyrim SE, but I still get this error message 'TEXTURES: Should have been converted offline' with Creation Kit. I have the latest version of NifSkope and Gimp, but I can't find where the textures point to the Old Skyrim folder. NifSkope crashes sometimes when I load these nifs, but not Creation Kit. I spent a large amount of time creating these nifs originally and I really like them so I want to find out how to fix this problem. Any help would be appreciated. BloodlustXIII
So I get this as well. Weord thing is, is I'm not working directly with textures. Literally all I do is edit like two things with a vanilla npc (and only her) and when I go to save, I get the error along with one about the femalehead.nif. ErianDragonborn
I have seen the message in my creation kit, but never had a crash so far. I think that was with vanilla textures, and not the ones that I edited. What I have done so far is change textures, normal maps and the _m files and copy them to replace the old textures. I have also made a few retextures of items (like a shop sign) in nif skope, as I didn't want the texture to replace the other one. In both cases, I haven't had crashes in Skyrim or the CK.One time, the CK did crash when I tried to load a duplicate Elk model with a changed texture, but it didn't happen again when I reopened the CK.
