Falconsflight
I am looking for female, male, and children voice actors for a massive upcoming mod, message me if your interested!!
TheElderInfinity
Honestly for me it depends on the mod. What accents do you need? I can do a fairly high pitched (child) voice, and do a fair amount of sound editing.
Falconsflight
Honestly for me it depends on the mod. What accents do you need? I can do a fairly high pitched (child) voice, and do a fair amount of sound editing. It is hard to explain exactly what I need currently, there is one scene that I have actors for that I am trying to finish up first before moving on. I think the central idea is to create a suite for scary / suspenseful stories / adventures. like I said I do not currently know what I want, but I have an idea which is very large and I would like to focus on each scene primarily so that I am not all over the place. That being said when I move onto the next scene I will continue to ask for help from actors that have been helpful before and new actors depending on the context / size of the scene. p.s The thing I am working on currently is the nightmares portion of the mod, I can go into more detail later on when I know what becomes of it, but it will likely pan out as envisioned because it is quiet simple concept overall. PaladinRider
IMO I wouldn't start seeking out voice actors yet. Especially since you don't know what you want. I guarantee you that if you collect 5 voice actors now, only one will be available when you need him/her. And if you need voice actors before you've started the mod, you're going to end up voicing some lines and needing to edit them later - and the same voice actor will probably be gone.. Like they say, you start off with an idea, 90% of it be different when you build it. That's my 2 cents.

Ya I get where your coming from but I believe that most of the ideas will pan out mainly because I am almost positive they will be possible, If they are not possible then the CK will be utterly useless so that is why I am not too worried about changing the overall idea. I am also writing the scripts to hopefully account for any irregularities once the mod is actually being created but yes that would be a place for concern. I have also put a good amount of time thinking of many many parts of the mod, I have written down many ideas and started writing several scripts. I just like to get things well established as early as possible because until the CK releases this is all I can do really. PaladinRider
Anything is possible... But that doesn't mean that it will pan out. Anyway, I think the actual voice acting is one of the last steps to a mod. Obviously there's no 'one' way to making a mod but establishing your voice actors a month before the CK is released, and judging from your ambition I'd say the mod would take two months minimum to make. At that point your voice actors are going to be needed three months from now - and in my experience voice actors don't tend to stick around on the forum that long. In short, even if you have a script as in exactly what you're going to be needing for voice actors, you're not giving yourself any room for variation. And since the CK isn't out, and you don't know of the limitations of it, you might find this to be a waste of time. Honestly, I think the best thing to do is to have the dialogue unvoiced when you first release it as a beta - this way you can get feedback. Structure is important and should come before the dialogue. It's kind of like drawing a picture in pen before having the rough draft in pencil. You can erase the pencil marks but the pen is going to be apart of the finished product and you won't be able to change it down the road - short of redoing it. Put the focus where it matters first

I am sure that doing the voice acting as a final step is the most sensible way to go about creating a mod but this will give me good experience in the end anyways, regardless of the finished product. Terry174
The best way would be text dialog for now. Allow some people to test it without the voice actors, get feedback and make changes dependant on recieved feedback (if necessary).

I do not want to be rude but this is exactly what the guy above said, and I acknowledged that in my previous post, please read that.
