What type of graphics card are you using?

Recommended Posts

After using an intergraded chipset family thing on a Dell laptop, and getting only 5fps lowest settings on Oblivion just days ago let me tell you with a NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 it's such an improvement. Max settings and great fps, I can't believe it.

some things "can be off loaded" to the cpu like cuda and Ambient occlusion.

Metro now runs with fw 16xaa plus that other option aa16x in game at 60fps. tested res 1400x900. Lets just say maxed out  atleast on my monitor, that's is as high it'll go. No sli.

2x VisionTek Radeon HD 4650 512MB in Crossfire. Been working great for awhile, all of a sudden card one gets hot for no apparent reason. Used to run at 43-44 C when idle. Never saw it go above 60-65 C, even when playing FO3 on Ultra settings. Now it idles at 85-86 C, and since Catalyst (or my cards) seems to have no fan control, not sure what to do.
