If you are on PC you can make any NPC marriageable using the console. My 2nd Character is married to Saadia, plus she is now a follower lol :)

On a different thread a member called STSG explained how to do this on the console, if anyone needs to know?

To add a npc to marriage faction open console, target them and type addfac 19809 1. You might need to raise their dispositiontoo: "setrelationshiprank <their ref id> 4" and "player.setrelationshiprank <their ref id> 4". Doesn't work for all the NPC though, since in some cases the marriage option is blocked by other conditions.

How do you add them to the companion faction?

Just for funnies, I tried using the console to marry Sinding the werewolf. He showed up in the church and married my character, then he never moved from that spot. I was disappointed. It would have been cool to have him as a follower too. http://i41.tinypic.com/23i83t2.jpg

How do you add them to the companion faction?

First you have to look up the BASE ID of the NPC you want to modify (the in-game reference ID will not work, so you have to look it up on the internet)

then open the console in-game and type:

setrelationshiprank <BASE ID> 4

and then:

player.setrelationshiprank <BASE ID> 4

This will give them the follower dialogue and behavior.

Ahh good, will try this next time.

With the pc any npc can be made to be a follower.

Just type in the console after selecting them:

setrelationshiprank player 4

then type

addtofaction 5c84d 1

I personally think Ysolda, Adrianne Avenicci, and Lydia - pretty but I find her personality to be bleh - (all living in Whiterun) are the best looking women in the game. Jordis the Sword Maiden is also good looking but it takes a bunch to get here as a follower. Keep in mind that Neckros beauty pack by itself makes women look really good in my opinion without making them unrealistic. I also use Xenius' mods.

I have a man crush on Farkas, and I'm in love with Ralof. It makes me sad that I can't finish the civil war for the Stormcloaks simply so Ralof will appear as a persisent NPC I can hurl all my characters at.

Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go have a bubble bath with smelly candles everywhere.
