ENB has to go through 8000+ shaders that come with the game (based on a comment Boris made who created ENB) and hence the load time when first starting the game can be up to 30-60 (possibly longer depending on your PC) seconds. During that time the screen will remain black. People think it isn't working and kill the game. You just need to be patient for it to load. If things take a certain time period to run/load windows will also say not responding - I get that all the time on work opening up large documents over the network. Give it time and it starts up eventually. Of course some people might be crashing for other reasons - there are a lot of variables here. But having seen a lot of people say they just get a black screen ... who then come back later to say it was working and they just didn't wait long enough ... suggests that is more often than not the issue. Hi - I explained it in my post ... it has to process over 8000+ shaders for this version of the engine. It's a lot more complicated to code for (from what Boris said) than Dx9 and has a lot more shaders to work through when loading at game start. That is all I know about it though. Just repeating what Boris mentioned about the issue. Also the new version of Skyrim wasn't designed with ENB in mind so the increased speed is based on vanilla. And it is still faster just not in this particular instance. Maybe Boris will find a way to speed it up - but that's way above my head as far as what he does to make things work and what he might be able to do ... or not do. I've tried adjusting the brightness, to no avail.I've never used ENB (old PC couldn't handle it), so I have no idea what else might be culpable here.I'm trying to use ENB 0.383 and the latest version of PRT (6.1, I think). Still loading. Me being finished with my dinner which took 50 minutes.. Still loading.
