Must Have Mods for New Vegas?

I played this game when it first came out and loved it, but I never played it with any mods. Are there any must have mods for New Vegas?

These are some mods that I've used myself and I find quite enjoyable. Depending on the level of immersion or lore-friendliness you want, you may want different mods but here are a few of my favourites.

Project Nevada is probably the only essential mod for me.

Then there's RobCo Certified: this thing makes you feel like a total science badass as you can take all those pesky robots, reprogram them and unleash them against your enemies. You can also build custom bots of various utility and some are from the first two Fallout games.

But what I really like are story mods. Download the Someguy Series, all of it. Just play through it once, it's amazing.

Then there's Zion Trail, Demos, Autumn Leaves, Project Brazil Boom to the Moon Novac Public Library

There are also fun quest mods like Saxxon's Quest and Badlands

 

Basically look to the first three pages of top endorsed Quest and Adventure mods and you'll find something worthwhile.

outside of all the stability mods like NVAC and such, I second Project Nevada, also the Willow companion mod, the couriers cache and spice of life. The Primm, goodsprings, Novac and bonnie springs reborn mods. The someguy series, and Project Brazil for a change of pace in a new play through.

If you are new to modding FNV, then suggest you read the wiki article "FNV General Mod Use Advice" on how to get a stable game and avoid common pitfalls. These are things not often found in video tutorials on modding the game, and include "stability fixes".
