ObiOwn
I have a big pile of music I want to play in specific areas of the world map. is it possible you think when the kit comes out I could map out certain music to certain zones of the map, and perhaps have a specific dungeon play specific track. I am not asking how to do this, just if it's possible to do, without knowing code. :D Edited December 21, 2011 by ObiOwn
brucethemoose
Wait for the Creation Kit.
PaladinRider
I'd imagine it be quite easy... If SongA plays in AreaA, and SongB plays in AreaB just find the sound files and swap the filenames to what you want it to be. Don't come after me if unexpected problems happen - I shouldn't imagine anything would go wrong. Probably don't need the creation kit.
SkjoldBjorn
if you get converted your music files to the right file format, you can change this very simply through tessnip, it is as PaladinRider said, quite easy. Its mostly just modifying hex values in the XCMO record inside the CELL record, and by that i don't mean practically knowing hex-coding, you have a formid window to insert id's for the songs you want instead of something elseGetting new music without replacing anything without the ck is difficult i think, but i heard it was possible, i have not played aroudn with it to be honest, but i have changed music in certain areas.example: gave the abandoned shack music from Towns, it's the standard music played for playerhouse interior. I do not know of the import process and if it's complicated and a pain, but i do know that changing the music that belongs to a CELL is easy :) It might even be easier methoods for this, but i do not know those, but i imagine you will have to use tessnip and modify XCMO records inside the CELL record.
