It's worth Skyrim Special Edition?

I'm not an expert girl in these matters, that's why I'm asking you guys. A while ago I looked at photographs of Skyrim Special Edition And I was not surprised at all, my old Skyrim Legendary Edition looks 50 times better, so is it worth it to spend so much time again to modify the game when the old one looks better? Mods going to be more powerful for Skyrim Special Edition? I mean ... old Skyrim have Ultra 4K mods.

Thanks to those who answer my doubts.

Skyrim SE just came out, so, the modding community now has a new toy to play with. Skyrim (original) has been out for five years now, so, of course the mod community is VERY well developed, and there are literally thousands of mods available for it. Given time, SSE will have that as well, and with the new capabilities granted by the improved engine, pushing the graphics even further will happen in the not so distant future. Hopefully, some of the 'must have' mods for skyrim, (SkyUI, for instance...) will get ported to SE. That's what I am waiting for. :D

yes it is. the special edition has the ability to push graphics mods much further and with much more stability.

Okay, thanks. So, no patches for CTD and that kind of annoying stuff?

How long will there be a decent amount of good content for this Special version? 6 months?

From what I've been told (haven't tested myself), uncompressed textures do not work, and cause the game to crash. ENB for SE will take a while to match original, if it ever does, since the graphics system has changed significantly. For these two reasons, particularly the second, it's not worth switching in my opinion. That's based on what I do in the game though; the drawbacks of SE might not be as detrimental to the way you play.

There will be patches. But they should go by quickly.

About a year. A large number of mods from the original work with SE so a lot is already covered.

Checked SE edition, doesn't worth it. I'll stick with vanilla version. I'm not using ENB other than ENBoost or 4k texture/HD graphic mods, only custom made SweetFX/FXAA injector, and game looks gorgeous. With all the tweaks and fixes my original Skyrim almost never crash, despite I have quite a big number of mods.

Beth didn't even bother incorporating some fixes from USKP so it's still full of bugs unless modded. If you have big mod list you can be sure that transferring part of them can take up to an year, and you can count another part out, because they may never be transferred as authors moved on newer projects or just gave up modding.

The only real advantage SE has over original is x64 which means better stability, but it's too early to judge because I'm sure it's still might break down under certain weight of mods.

Skyrim is a great game and all, but I'm sure most people had enough fun with it already, and it's not worth all the hassle it would take to mod and tweak it anew for a few doubtful gimmicks it has with SE. If original works well for you, no reason to get SE.
