badboyobubby
How about making the dragons smaller?Slaying dragons is alright and all, if you are playing an epic character, like a paladin build. However when you want to just enjoy the game, and play say a thief or some jack of all trades adventurer, the dragon fights become a hassle and ruins the experience for me.If some of the dragons, most, were smaller then it would improve the gaming experience
Kairo29
It'd be cool if there were dragonlings (smaller young dragons) that hunted in packs. Almost like velociraptors. Being swarmed by them and having to kill a pack of 5+ would be ridiculously cool. I think it would be seriously more scary and nerve-wracking to hear their call and know that you're about to be attacked. If they had some knock down skills by swooping, or could initiate an attack where they grab your shoulders with your feet and try to drag you away or carry you into the air....that crap would create some heart pounding moments lol. Stumbling on a dragon nest would be a "Oh. sh*t." moment for sure.
burningworm
small dragons could fit into a hard survival mod.So dragons still exist, but only those of wolf to bear-size, who haven't been noticed previously because they know some disguise-spells, survived. If they appear there is panic.but mostly they just try to steal some veggies from barrels. manamoppet
Should definitely be done! Though the damage from physical attacks should definitely have to be scaled down as well. Don't know about the breath attacks though. Could poison damage be added to some of the dragons? As a mage, I often have to hit and run, often half-dead. TheElderInfinity
As a thief character, fighting dragons is definitely possible; use a bow. if you manage to sneak up on a roosting dragon, you can actually one shot them sometimes.
Kairo29
Of course dmg would be scaled down to an approriate level. Would be cool if instead of shouts, they had something more like "yelps" which would be a smaller scale of dragonborns shouts. No steady flame or frost breaths but more like spitting a wave of whatever element the dragon is of. Itd be like q hiccup in comparison, but with encounters of dragonling packs, their smaller version of shout can still be a dangerous thing cuz u could keep getting pelted by the attack in a shorter recharge time. You find plenty of great bows while going through the ruins quests, and so many ancient arrows that there is no point NOT to lob a few down range. Also, I have death-from-aboved a few while in sneak mode and gotten a few 1-hit-kills; they are just begging for it at most of the dragon-icon locations, just perched on their arches with their backs to the high ground... :D On Topic; I would like for there to be a good mix of them, not just a replacement mod. Smaller ones jumping out at you while larger ones circle overhead... "Run for your lives! They are getting smarter!"
