gigantibyte
We are currently working towards a MMO model, because it can be used for both MMO and Coop purposes. Dungeons will still be designed for 2 or 4 players, and if you really don't want other people running around in cities you are free to set up a server yourself, just for you and your friends. Of course you raise a valid concern when it comes to AI, but seeing as changing the combat behavior is a huge project, we will save that for later. Too cool! I was wondering what the merger would mean, because Awpsoleet stated many times he would never release the server software. Any hope of integration with GameSpy? lol

Szimitar
Tytanis' mod will be compatible with ours and provides a large amount of improvements to gameplay. Other than that, we are trying to make our mod compatible with all mods in general, but some complications will always arise and we don't have the time to fix all of them. So if you like that mod, you would have to modify it yourself so that it is compatible with ours. If you then set up your server, it will sent the mod to all users. AntaresCommander
Very, very interesting indeed. If I may ask, sirs, how does our view of the other player currently look? Is it like online, where they are an armor-less prisoner dragon-born? Just curious if you've made any progress, if not, no need to bother. Looks like this might make for an crazy let's play, though. Hm...
TheElderInfinity
Personally I'd prefer it if there wasn't a central online server, but maybe something like say Minecraft where players create their own servers. You'd have to program something to check if all the players are using identical plugin setups so there'd be no conflicts, but I could see it working, especially since the map data is present client side for both players. The ideal Skyrim multiplayer for me would be 4 player CoOP with a bunch of friends honestly.

Users will be able to set up their own servers, with their own choice of mods. The server will only allow the mods it was set up with, and can hopefully stream them to players who didn't have them. TheElderInfinity
Stream mods to players who don't have them? That would be a bit difficult.

That would be a bit difficult.Ah boy... streaming the mods to someone who doesn't have em? Erm... well, my computer can run skyrim perfectly, but internet is where you have me with my pants down. The server itself will do the streaming, correct? Kind of like in Team Fortress Two, when you join a server with custom sounds and models-V.S. Saxton Hale comes to mind-and before you can join, you have to wait for it to finish downloading. Right? Or did I totally miss your knee? Stupid arrows. gigantibyte
Sure hope the mods are listed and the opportunity to decline is provided before they are installed.
Szimitar
Sure hope the mods are listed and the opportunity to decline is provided before they are installed. I'm sure we can include that. On top of that, the Skyrim client you will use to connect to a server is most likely completely seperate from you SP Skyrim. You won't need to worry about your game being screwed by bad mods.
