Do I need to scrap my save because of Form Version 43 Mods?

You shouldn't need to scrap the save, just resave the mods in the new CK and then tell the authors they need to be ported correctly.

While the game may let the official ESMs slide, it doesn't seem to let anything else get away with harboring old form versions in SSE and there are numerous reports out there about oddities, random glitches, and CTDs associated with unported ESP files. I tried to shortcut this stuff with a lot of my own files only to find out that was a BAD idea because the game turned into a big mess. Once I had ported everything properly, problems went away.

I would not be surprised if this sort of thing is responsible for the "fake corruption" people have been reporting.

I have noticed that when merging mods with the merge plugins tool the esp`s can go in as form 43 and the merged esp is form 44 which eliminates having to run the merged esp through creation kit. I also have noticed as posted the new skyrim does not like wrong form versions.

No, you still need to run it through the CK. xEdit is not an official tool and it doesn't always get things right. The CK will properly handle all the data conversions that need to be done. It's not simply a matter of a form version number being changed.

If you merge a form 43 It still contains the errors witch are then carried over to the new file resulting in a bad patch witch could still damage your game
