How Combats and Magic should have looked in Skyrim!

Well...never though that there where so many people that closed their eyes to something else and other styles...

-snip-

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind styles like that, but with a game like Skyrim when I seek near flawless immersion, combat like that just kills it for me. It's nice in hack and slash games and grindfest MMO's because "lol immersion" but for Skyrim (and other more "realistic" RPGs), I feel there's just no place for it.

Great things about mods though - You can have it and I can choose not to :D

Thought that people on the Nexus where more open, with all the variety of mods you can find, i really though there would be more then this...

Din't know that people was so keen on simplistic and dull stuff..., makes me wonder if i'm not on a Risen or Drakensang forum...

Disapointement, thats what i'm feeling...

Don't get it wrong, i love TES, but it lacks that something that makes me go"Whooaa!"

And speaking of Monkey movements animations, as someone put it..., you din't Jump that much during you're gameplay then or used Two hands weapons did you?

Jumping in Skyrim or even swinging a 2hander looks like a drunk monkey on speed who doesn't know the freak where he goes...

Can't wait for the Ck to have better anims seriously.

*Let's the flaming begun!!*

Well you should be aware of this, dossent matter on what forum you are, but if you make a post on a fan forum, about some other game having better combat, its obvious you get the hell flamed out of you...now more then ever with all the newcomers.

I agree with you that the combat should be better, not exactly like that, but definately better...advanced, but that will never happen with bethesda.

Maybe so, but certainly not that kind of "Whooaa!"

It's totally down to tastes. When I play a RPG, I don't want that Manga feeling. I already found that exploding heads in Fallout 3 and New Vegas were over the top.

For me, that kind of combat animations are a certain indicator that this particular game isn't meant for me. It simply caters to a different audience, since it usually doesn't stop with the animations.

I honestly don't think that suits TES at all, anyway could you imagine combat like that coupled with Skyrims horrible camera? That said I am looking forward to KOA, given the talent involved with the title I expect it to have a lot more depth than Skyrim has.

Skyrim has horrible camera? I could play skyrim in 1st or 3rd person no problem unlike fo3 and oblivion. I haven't had any troubles with skyrim's camera system.

It would be cool to have something halfway between a Morrowind combat style and the style of the game you posted. As it is right now, Skyrim is definitely repetitive and without depth. I think people would be fibbing if they ever said there was anything more than a shallow kind of tactile approach when facing an enemy in TES 5; hopefully someone mods it up and we can get a better system but I guess that's why they have the creation kit after all :D
