Thinking of reveiwing Mods any advice?

I know there are a few youtubers who do this but I was watching Alchestbreach from the beginning of his New Vegas reviews. I want to do something like that playing more or less quest mods and having fun. xD Is there any advice? I'm still new to youtube and I don't want to get into any trouble with the modders. I was thinking of playing through Maxwell's World for starters. You can check my youtube channel here if you're interested I just started playing Fran Bow. So yeah I'm kinda cringy. ^^"

Whatever you do, do not use one of those in-game vanity cameras that show you in a small corner of the video. My favorite mod reviewer added one of those and it remarkably decreased the quality of his videos.

Don't make jerky movements with your mouse. Even better than Al Chestbreach, check out videos by Gopher, Gamer Poet, Brodual, and especially MxR on Youtube.

It might help to develop a British or Scottish accent if you do not already have one. Why? Not sure, but a lot of reviewers have this. Maybe it is immersive or lore friendly, but definitely not slooty!

Get yourself an xbox controller for those slow panning shots, use a calm, non-yelling voice, avoid the repetition of buzzwords like slooty, realistic or immersive (MxR gets away with it because he's MxR, don't try to be MxR), don't try to squeeze tits and ass into every shot, if you're reviewing a house or a weapon we want to see that, for tits there's plenty of specialized videos. Don't automatically call every mod author a he, some of us aren't guys and it's hard to feel appreciated when people automatically ignore all of your gender. Do your research and don't talk out of your ass, it's nice when reviewers know what they're talking about. Try to review mods that didn't necessarily get a lot of attention, if everyone reviews the same 5 mods every week it gets boring pretty quickly, and I like discovering new things! Don't hesitate to cut out your uhhhs and ermms, a short silence is preferable to an awkward hesitation.

Other than that, good luck! I followed you and I'll be looking forward to your first review.

Additionally, list all the mods you reviewed and the links in the area below the video. A bullet chart of all the mods to be reviewed in the video at the start is a big help to viewers. Listing the mod title before starting each new mod review also helps viewers.

In playthrough videos, make sure you have played each part first and know what to do. I have turned to videos of playthroughs when I have been stumped and I have ended up feeling worse for it when the reviewer had less problem-solving skills than myself. Some reviewers have been of great service to viewers by getting the answers from the mod authors and in some cases pointing out bugs which enable the authors to make needed updates.

Mod reviewers can be an asset to Humankind.

Showcase rather than review, you won't upset modders that way.

Or acknowledge that some things may not be to your taste rather than calling them bad.

"This mod isn't to my taste, but I can see it being great for people who like X."

"However, I do like that... ... It's very well done in that respect."

Ok thanks I'll be sure to ask the mod authors. Though I do play with a lot of mods ^^" And yeah a showcase does sound better I'm not trying to be a critic I really just want to have fun with some of the mods really ^-^ I haven't beat Maxwells World yet but I did beat Fusion City which was interesting... I don't have the CB Body mods xD It was pretty horrifying because of it xD
