Sort of disappointed in Modding community

He's made a post that was insulting the community and the mod makers. You come and say he's correct, so you are just as much of a jerk as he is. Deal with it.

How exactly did he insult the community? How am I a jerk I give all respect to the mod authors but the mods have been pretty slow. So I think its a fair question to ask the community plus could you refrain from insulting me that's role one of debating

Okay whoa calm down he is just voicing his opinion Its fair criticism I mean you can't disagree with the fact the mods have been slow plus don't complain to him about not knowing how to use the Kit Its most likely a foreign language to most of the people who download mods

His criticism of the modding community is invalid when he hasn't contributed a single thing to it, unless you want to count one endorsement a year as contributing?!

Of course he's entitled to his opinion, but then anyone else is entitled to call him on his bs.

The problem is that this user is complaining but they're not doing anything to help resolve the situation i.e. pick up the CK etc, watch/read some tutorials, learn how to do stuff and make something themselves. It's a safe bet to say that they've been playing Bethesda games for the last five years, but I don't believe for a second that they haven't had the time to learn to make mods. That's insulting. His post can be condensed down to this:

"No one is making the things that I want"

and you defend this?

Look I have never made a mod but can I criticize the fact the mods have been slow when you consider the state of the other games on the nexus

I would be frankly embarassed to make such a post

Why its fair criticism

Then you are equally of a jerk and furthermore, ignorant.

No I am not what he is saying isn't wrong the mods are slow and theirs little to no variety which is correct plus insulting me isn't an argument

Right, but modders aren't a select race blessed with unique talents unattainable by mere mortals. Anyone can open up an editor and start making changes. People who complain that they want different offerings should look into making those things themselves. A lot (if not most) of us started that way. We wanted something no one else was making, or we wanted it done in a different way and went to work figuring out how to make it happen. What we didn't do was go around complaining that someone else wasn't making what we wanted and blaming them for not providing those things.

Yes but no everyone is that into it and don't know the first thing about modding but compared to NV and Skyrim its disappointing

Do you pay us for the things we create or the time we spend on mods? No. So don't complain or tell us that mods have been "slow".

So learn how to mod and make your own content? It's only disappointing because there aren't enough modders interested in modding the things you'd like to see in game. There's a solution for that. If players that wanted content and were disappointed with what's available started building what they wanted to see then they could share it and there would be more content. Players unwilling to apply themselves to create content are the problem here. Not the existing modders who work on what they are interested in creating.

To reiterate what llamaRCA said, "Many hands make light work." If we had as many people as Skyrim or Skyrim Special Edition digging in and getting interested in creating tutorials and mods there would be more content. I wished more people would say "How do I make this idea?" than stating their complaints or wanting someone else to make it. It would speed things along greatly. Plus every person has their own ideas, so if those people with ideas, went about getting the skills we could get more mods that others could build upon like HDT did over at Skyrim or like any other framework that can be built upon (can't think of any other examples right now). Who knows, maybe if players learned the skills, they could be the next trainwiz, elianora, or whatever famous modder?
