Todd also said we could use the Grindstone to grind Bones to make Powder, now its just an Animation.

We could also Destroy the Windmill to slow down the food process or something, i forgot.

Werent we suppose to have our own Famr aswell or something.

I don't get what you mean with the grindstone. He never said anything about that.

Yes, it was said that we can alter the economy. Though that's sadly not in the game, and no, it was never said that we could have our own farm.

And Todd is not a liar, he's just doing his job.

Things like altering the economy, destroying sawmills and others that I can't remember, those were scrapped probably because of technical reasons.

Things get cut out of games, deal with it.

Molyneux is making so many promises he can't hold, he's basically a liar.

Cutting things because of valid reasons, and making too many promises you can't hold, these are not the same things.

It is the same because I don't think any of them is lying with intent. Their ideas just can't compete with reality. And reality probably isn't a technical but a financial reason. Many things in Skyrim speak of great plans being brought on the way, but never finished.

Amazing how they make such a big deal out of Nothing and its the same with Alduin, everyone goes on about the World Eater and yet you kill him as he's a Regular Dragon. No Reward afterwards.

You get two shouts, you can summon one of the sovengard heros and you can call that dragon that is now friendly toward you. I consider them okay skillups for completing the main quest, considering they shouldn't overpower you for any side-quests you want to do after (ignoring that you are already pretty overpowered with improved armor+weapons). At least the shouts are tons better than any weapon and armor you would just end up stashing somewhere.

I didn't watch any videos on SKyrim this time around, because I suspected they'd do the same thing they did with Oblivion. Show us all these amazing features and promises, then rip them out of the final game.

It isn't nearly as bad as it was in Oblivion.

Skyrim's cut features are only few and aren't exactly high priority. The most important ones being destructible mills, players can alter the economy slightly, are there any more? I think not.

This is nothing compared to Fable (Like others have pointed at). Where it was to be the best RPG of all time, where the world changes around you and you alter it and it all depends if you're good or evil etc.

I think Peter M. was actually describing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, not Fable

Well to be honest all of the excitement over Alduin being killed would probably be overshadowed by the fact that (if you haven't done it yet) the Civil is still raging and killing people, there are stil roving bands of Bandits, Necromancers and Cultists, All the other Dragons are still around.

And isn't that a elderscrolls tradition? Recieving little thanks or material rewards for averting a world or region disaster, still doing the thing you do best after doing that.

I think theres a message there.

Actually, after finishing the main quest in Oblivion, you got a lot of accolades as the CoC. Also, with a high enough fame, everyone was basically gushing all over you. Similarly, once you are Sheogorath, the inhabitants of the Isles generally refered to you as such, including the Saints and Seducers.

That personally pissed me off after a while.I remember when I was little I actually got to meet Woody Harrelson at an airport. Holy s*** was that an incredible experience, the man was fantastic, for the first 10 minutes, But looking back I can tell it started to get under his skin that a 12 year old kept staring at him at the airport with big adoring eyes. and it's something that I didn't really understand until I played oblivion and had to hold back the arena fan from humping my damn leg every five minutes. Recognition for your accomplishments is nice at first, but after a while you'd want people to bugger the hell off and leave you alone.

Seeing as we're mentioning Fable in this, Does everyone remember how annoying it was in Fable 2 to have to wade through a crowd of bodies everytime you wanted to do something in town. The only way to get them away from you was to shoot one of the sons a bitches in the head to scare the rest into leaving you alone. and to all but the most dedicated players, that only got on your nerves after 6 hours of play time, most of which wasn't even spent in towns. Imagine if you had to deal with that every single time you went into town on skyrim? You'd end up gutting the entire pop after a while, and they don't spawn back.

And with radiant story, every single person who ever had a problem would hear about your reputation and want you to help them do the smallest of tasks. From Dragon hunter and Savior to little errand boy for lazy people who don't want to pay couriers. No thanks.
