PLEASE HELP! Corrupted save issues ,big time!

I have been trying to enjoy playing this new version (For about two weeks now) but.......... EVERY TIME..... i play..... my save files always end up corrupted!!!!!

So each day i have to basically start a new game!

Processes done :

All known tweaks and suggestions for PC have been done to optimize game,

system is in high range for playing game (tested on a web site : http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri) ,

drivers ect all have been updated,

all suggested "fixes" have been done including the disengage the xbox on PC...

triple checked all know fixes n optimizations...system runs smooth and perfect....

Next:

Check all mods for :

compatibles,

load order

and if an update is made to a mod or a mod get deleted i start a brand new game....

loose files removed

LOAD Order completed on wanted mods for now....

Next:

Start a new game with bare min mods, cosmetic n a breezehome mod...

play game

quick save, auto save and hard save test being done every few min to n hour at a time

check saved files either in game with the load or out of game:

a) load screen picture is present per save

Next:

add a mod

do a save

check picture on said save

if picture is black or says corrupted..delete added mod

play again on original save with picture..

Next:

repeat above step for each added mod

( only adding one mod at a time while checking saves with the new mod added, or removing and playing again on the good save for half hour to two hrs in between adding a mod)

Repeat this till all mods added result in a clean save with a picture in the save window

played game for hours and hours at a time, last interval was 12 hrs, saving often and checking each save as i do....

GAME RUNS INCREDIBLY SMOOTH WITH LITTLE TO NO CTD, PERFECT!!!!!

WAKE UP TO CONTINUE MY PLAY THROUGH AND ALL CLEAN SAVES THAT HAD A PICTURE IN SAVE WINDOW ARE NOW ALL CORRUPT!!!

ONCE AGAIN RESULTING IN HAVING TO DO A BRAND NEW START GAME ALL OVER AGAIN, REPEATING SAME PROCESS AS ABOVE, AS ALL MY FILES WILL NO LONGER LOAD ( AT LEAST MY 12th ATTEMPT ON PLAYING SKYRIM N LOOSING ALL MY SAVES)

YET FOR 12 + hrs straight at a time they loaded fine and were not corrupt

WHAT IS CAUSING THIS?????????????????????????

Just an FYI, with all the mods that are ticked on, yes all of them, the game runs smooth with no issues while in game at all, no conflicts , no dark faces,no flickering, barely any CTD, no performance loss, nothing, its the smoothest i have ever run skyrim side the xbox 360 version, the only issue is that my saves keep being corrupted and become unplayable and unload able... :sad: :sad:

I know you've tested your mods, and I don't want to sound counter-intuitive here, but with the sheer number of mods have you ruled out "bloat"?

I have a severe problem too, My save is not actually saving, but currupting after a save is done.

 

There is one save I have that works, but after trying to save and overwriting the corrupted save for a new one, and when I load to test it, it kept saying Currupted load :(

I am assuming you are running this on a PC.

 

There is an ongoing debate about corrupted saves on the Forums, see https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5196990-false-save-corruption-during-gameplay/page-1

Most of us hit the Corrupted Save from time to time. In my case it is usually unfinished animations, or quests that fail to trigger.

When I try to save and get the "Corrupted Save" message, I quite the game and restart it. The previous save is always OK.

Normally the corrupted save is only the current one. You should be able to load a previous save - they are resting on the disk and not being used and can't "auto-corrupt".

Suggestions:

 

Do not use Auto Saving. Don't use quick save. Only use the "hard save". Auto Saving has long been a problem for Skyrim and quick saving is known to have faults. These may be part of the problem with earlier saves corrupting.

 

Do you have the game installed in the default location on your C: Program Files? If so, best to re-install it well away from that, because the file verification that Windows uses can cause a lot of issues. Mine is on a separate SSD. But the save game default location on My Documents should be OK.

Clean out old game saves.

 

It would be wise to re-validate your game through Steam to make sure the main game files are not corrupted.

 

Make sure your anti-virus allows the game to run without the AV checking the files on the fly. You can set that in the AV exceptions.

 

While the game runs well, there are an awful lot of "heavy" mods and this is before knowing what texture overhauls you might have installed, or any ENB or Re-shade. It is the combination rather than a single mod that may help corrupt the game.

That and using Auto save and quick save

 

Steve40's Skybirds, whilst a gorgeous mod, generates a lot of script activity and - if other scripts cause problems the Skybirds mod will tend to go into a script stack from time to time. So the "tangle" of scripts can corrupt the save file.

The mod is good and well built, - but best used on a light load order.

 

Timescale6 - I strongly advise do not use this mod in such a script-heavy load order. Quests will develop lag and NPCs / actors will miss their cues. I tried 6 as a game time in SE, and it was a disaster. I use 10 or 12 as a minimum time.
