Eferas
Hi everyone, I don't know so much about computers, so I would ask for an advice, an opinion, please! My pc has: processor Inter Core I5, 4GB of RAM and graphics card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470. With this Skyrim operates at low-medium quality. If I increase the RAM to 8GB, can Skyrim be run at hight-ultra quality? Or I have to change also the graphics card?
Illiad86
You'd have to change the graphics card...but it sounds like you have a laptop if you have "Mobility" graphics? Laptop graphics cards cannot be changed. They are soldered into the motherboard and each laptop brand follows their own form factor. Getting more RAM would not help. BigBodZod
There are a few GAMING specific notebooks now on the market that do indeed have upgradable GPU's but of course you are paying extra for this type of thing. But as illiad86 as stated most likely you do no have an upgradable type of notebook computer. Some folks have used different version of the GPU/Graphics card driver software to get better performance out of their machines, it's something to look at. Since you have an AMD/ATi GPU then look at their page for downloads. http://sites.amd.com.../downloads.aspx

A friend of mine said that if I increase the RAM then the game's performance would improve. There would be improvements seriously, or do I need to change PC then? There are a few GAMING specific notebooks now on the market that do indeed have upgradable GPU's but of course you are paying extra for this type of thing. But as illiad86 as stated most likely you do no have an upgradable type of notebook computer. Some folks have used different version of the GPU/Graphics card driver software to get better performance out of their machines, it's something to look at.Since you have an AMD/ATi GPU then look at their page for downloads. http://sites.amd.com.../downloads.aspx I will look at it, thanks! :P
pikoso26
I'd recommend getting a dekstop gaming PC, some laptops may be able to handle the latest games, but Im asuming you dont own one of those. And If youre getting something for gaming go for desktop, since desktop can handle gaming stress much more efficiently than laptops, these tend to overheat a lot and their gpu start failing after a long time of power gaming on them. Not to mention eventually you will need upgrading after a few years or so, and its way easier to upgrade the parts of your desktop than upgrading to a brand new laptop.
