You're `Thing`?

Many people have a `thing`, as in perhaps knitting, or mountain biking, or extreme ironing!

What's yours?

You can say multiple things... some extra detail on what you do would be nice too:)

Mine:

I climb... anything and everything.

Indoors at a wall one a week, and outdoors on real rock whenever I can, usually without ropes, because I've got no other freinds who climb regularly.... Local limestone is nice though!

I also attempt to play the guitar... not much more can be said there, other than that I suck.

i write

and draw

and um... i like to tell people things i know, that they didnt, so that they might know. thats always nice.

such as... the snowy leopard, Unica unica used to be known as Panthera unica, but whereas the species name unica is, as the defintion suggests, specific, the genus name Panthera/Unica is of a much more subjective nature. so, the decision to officially remove it from Panthera, and give it its unique generic name of Unica, is really just a subjective decision made by one scientist, and hi-fived by everyone concerned.

Other felines, sych as the eurasian lynx has the same issue, which still remains unresolved, some scientists prefer Felis lynx, others prefer to keep it separate, as Lynx lynx <---the species name however Gen. lynx is of no debate, this is objective, and can be tested and determined, and is therefore not a matter of opinion.

Species names: a matter of objective fact.

Genus names: a matter of subjective consensus.

and now you know!

I like to occasionally write, draw and do some digital artistry. I think I'm pretty handy with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; I'm self-taught with both programs now for several years. When I'm at home I enjoy swimming at the beach and golfing a lot. My parents gave me paid swimming lessons since I was in kindergarten (hey, I live on an island) and I'm *okay* at golf. I drive about 250yds and am pretty satisfied getting par on five holes or so each round. And when I'm not completely drowning in my engineering-related studies, I like playing violin. I've been doing that for about five years now, mostly self-taught. I recently acquired my own instead of using a rental instrument.

And almost obviously...video games. I play perhaps too many of those.
