Tamara
I'm ready to let the mudcrabs eat me! :wallbash: Nothing has changed. E.G. Run, run, run, pause; run, run, run, pause. Not glitchy, Any and all help will be welcome. 2 Questions - What do I do to make sure RadeonPro is running? Why are there large yellow numbers going up and down like FPS in the upper left corner? Shouldn't that be off as I turned off the OSD? This is what I have at the moment: I installed the 1.3 beta (v1.3.5.0.8) and ran TESEdit on the update and 3 dc files.I added bLockFramerate=0 to the Skyrim.ini in the games folder - not the skyrim se exe folder In the common/skyrim se folder: ENB series files version .310enblocal.ini (I looked at the settings in ENBOOST v5 for AMD 4GB vram and tried different reserve memory sizes and took advice on other settings from the forums) [MEMORY]ExpandSystemMemoryX64=trueReduceSystemMemoryUsage=trueDisableDriverMemoryManager=falseDisablePreloadToVRAM=falseEnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=falseReservedMemorySizeMb=1024VideoMemorySizeMb=27414EnableCompression=falseAutodectectVideoMemorySize=false[WINDOW]ForceBorderless=trueForceBorderlessFullscreen=true [ENGINE]ForceAnisotropicFiltering=trueMaxAnisotropy=16EnableVSync=trueAddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions=falseForceVSync=falseVSyncSkipNumFrames=0[LIMITER]WaitBusyRenderer=falseEnableFPSLimit=falseFPSLimit=60.0 enbseries.ini (I didn't change anything) d3d11.dlld3dcompiler_46e.dll RadeonPro v1.1.1.0 (I was very unsure about what to change. gran172
First of all delete all the ENB Binarie files, even if you're not using a ENB preset you WILL get performance loss (confirmed by Boris, not sure if only on AMD side or if it happens on Nvidia too). The point of using Radeon Pro is to NOT use any other kind of frame limiter or VSync, meanwhile you are using ENB VSync, .ini files VSync, Radeon Settings frame-limiter...like i said, delete the ENB files, then disable frame limiting on Radeon Settings and turn VSync control to off, unless driver specifies (or simply disable SSE profile), on Skyrim.ini file delete the ipresentinterval line. What yellow numbers are you talking about? A picture would help. Also, if you wanna make sure RP is working simply use Double VSync, if when you enter the game your game is locked at 30fps then that means it's working, exit the game and use either Adaptive VSync or VSync always on. This is easy to fix, but you are trying so many fixes at the same time...
goranpaa
Hi again. You should have the black and square RP icon visible at the same place as you have the computer clock and other icons.Yes, check RP's OSD settings. That could be Radeon Pro's FPS counter running. First, make a profile for the SSE Exe inside Radeon Pro. You must click on that so it shift colour. Then, the important settings you can change in Radeon Pro is as follow: Under the "Advanced tab: " Texture filter quality" = high. " Texture LOD = + 0.8 " Flip Sequence que" = 1 Under the Tweaks tab: Vsync = Dynamic or Always on. Here, you will have to test to see wich setting is the best one for you? Dynamic Framerate = Set this to 60 FPS. I'm not totally sure that running EnBoost is such a good idea really in SSE? It's not adapted for this game. Tamara
Thank you very much for you blindingly quick responses. Okay, I've deleted the enbseries files in the exe folder and disabled the Skyrim SE profile in the Radeon settingsI removed the ipresentinterval line in Skyrim.ini I tried both vsync always on and dynamic with 60 cap. End result: run, run, pause, run, run, pause. I haven't sorted out how to send the screenie. I'm sure it's an FPS, but it appears whether I have the OSD click with everything disabled, or not clicked. It is in the 50s.
goranpaa
You're welcome. Ok. Sad that these Vsync settings did not work. But try without any Vsync enabled then. Just hope that you wont get a serious screen tearing instead? Have you disabled the Vsync in the global driver profile btw?As a kind of a last resort, enable the GL Triple buffer in Radeon Pro instead. Hope this will help? Edit. gran172
Im curious as what those stutters look like, any chance on recording a video with framerates and frametimings on screen? That would definetely help us troubleshoot your problem way better.
jones177
Hi My computer is vastly different to yours. So this probably won't help much. It may give you an idea where to look next. I get stutter in this game if I use the games vsync. The only vsync I can use is from the drivers. With adaptive or smooth vsync I get screen tearing. I get stutter & screen tearing if I use windowed mode. In the old game the same video card would stutter with or without ENB. I had to use the line "EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true" to get a stutter free game. I could only stop using it after the .305 version of ENB came out. One bad texture or too many textures can cause stutter. This is the type of stutter you get when turning. The only way to test is to remove all texture mods & test in a cell where the are no human NPCs. Bad ini edits can cause stutter. Edits that I used for my GTX 970 & 980 caused my 980 ti to stutter. This type of stutter is uniform. Test by saving your inis, Then delete them so the game can make new ones. If the stutter is still there, move you old ins back. As far as I am concerned i/o stutter is the worst. It was not much of a problem in the old game but it may be a problem in this one. It is a big problem for me with Fallout 4. Easy to test, "coc qasmoke". If you still get stutter there, it is not i/o stutter. I know that I have gone all over the place with this post, but you may have to look all over the place to find a solution. Later
Tamara
Hi Guys, Thank you again for your caring and speedy suggestions. I have tried them all. There is a slight improvement over doing nothing. My system benchmarks fine as well. I am totally perplexed. I feel there is something simple I am overlooking.Any ideas will be welcome.
goranpaa
Hmm, have you installed any texture mods? Is it 1K, 2K, or higher if so? Edited December 2, 2016 by goranpaa
Tamara
I had Skyrim Flora Overhaul SE v2.6a-2154-2-6a, then took it out.I have SMIM 2-04-659-2-04I use some texture paks from Oldrim -Alien Slof's animalsRama's Colorful Light Female Dragonscale Armor v1 -5090-1-0Better Circlets 2kFaces - YoungerFacesMergedWithMenByGeonox-2488High_Quality_Eyes-1_20-498-1-2ShieldOfYsgramor_texture update-2121-1 I converted a lot of mods I liked from Oldrim, but I don't think any of these are a problem as I started a new game with all mods disabled and the lurching / stuttering was even in the opening sequence with no mods loaded
