ishamm
I have had skyrim running fine on a more than adequate PC for ages now, with various mods (i can post NMM screeny if nessessary) but have suddenly encountered a MASSIVE issue. whenever i try to load any of my saves i get the error saying it relies on files no longer present, then i get a CTD as soon as i get to a loading screen. Sometimes i get an error saying the saves are corrupt, but this seems to be less often than the other error. i tried using the windows restore feature to go back to an earlier state, to no avail. Is there a way i can find out what content is missing or not being loaded? I am using the steam version of the game. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated Edited December 27, 2011 by ishamm

nosisab
one or more of your mods are gone or got corrupted, that's the reason for the message about the game has been saved with something that is not there anymore. Not always this is a problem and the game will just ignore/remove the missing assets, sometimes even a change in the load order can cause the game to fail loading. Another possible cause would be if the number of cells to load was greater in your ini and something reset it to default 5, that is known to prevent the save to load. You may want to reinstall the mods, even those marked as already installed. Certify the number of cells to load at ini is not smaller than the used at the save. Try letting Steam redo the cache,
