abaris
Got over 100 hours into the game, and you enjoyed it? You really got no right to complain. I am not saying you can't bring up problems, but there is no right insulting Bethesda and whining over it. Insult Bethesda? Apart from hardly anyone doing that, how can you insult a company? Hopefully the people working there get a paycheck worth their efforts when they do overtime. I'm pretty sure they do, since there's the old saying, if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys and I don't think, Bethesda has to put up with that kind of personel. And here's the thing, noone said developer A is a dork. I even haven't heard such a statement about developer Z so far. A company on the other hand is a company. If you think, there are some tender feelings involved when talking about a shareholder business, you have done more than your share in defending that fragile being. azaltan
@matth85 Too much stress in Nexus? Matth85
Apart from hardly anyone doing that, how can you insult a company?By not giving a damn that they spent thee last 5 years working on a game that you pay almost nothing for? Hopefully the people working there get a paycheck worth their efforts when they do overtime. I'm pretty sure they do, since there's the old saying, if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys and I don't think, Bethesda has to put up with that kind of personel. Work overtime, check.Work 14/7 for the last months, check.Getting paid bare minimum for the work they do, check. You know nothing of the game industry, do you? And here's the thing, noone said developer A is a dork. I even haven't heard such a statement about developer Z so far. A company on the other hand is a company. If you think, there are some tender feelings involved when talking about a shareholder business, you have done more than your share in defending that fragile being. A company is a company, I agree. But being an a**hole each time a new game come out, instead of stopping to buy it, is idiotic on so many levels. There are no "feelings" involved, but there are respect involved. They work hard for a game, and you play it. You get what you buy. If you know it will be a bugfest, I suggest stop buying it? Too much stress in Nexus? You don't want to worry all the time about criticizing/crying/whining/etc. threads that you simply can not ignore?.I am not sure where I ever said it is stressfull? If anything, it is rather relaxing over here. And yes, I do ignore a lot. I do, however, not ignore the most idiotic posts and people throwing small insults here and there. Make your life easier and go satisfy your ranting needs at Official Bethesta Forums, where the most satisfied/happy/proud bethesta admirers dwell. Why would I want to go over to the Official Forums? Am I for some reason forbidden to disagree with people? People voice their concern, which they are allowed to. If they then go a little to far, or seem to forget about certain points, I believe I am allowed to say what I wish. That said, why do people insist on accusing me of being "rude" or "stressed"? Is it the lack of smileys? Or the lack of sugarcoating? I speak direct, and I drop smileys. If somebody wants to put feeling behind it, that is their bussiness - not mine. abaris
There are no "feelings" involved, but there are respect involved. Respect, is it? Why exactly? For the record, you won't find any of my posts involving the term Bugthesda or anything along these lines. So I'm certainly not guilty as charged. But still - why should I respect a company, any company? They're producing something, fine. There are people doing their jobs - fine, and I might just respect them because they are persons. But I don't respect a brand. So, they have spent 5 years in development. Apart from the fact that they've developed and published different games within that time, that's their job. There's development time involved with every new product. Big deal. I won't go down on my knees for them not charging a couple of thousands for their products. Also I, with so many others, never have said Skyrim was a bad game. It's a flawed game. You think differently, fine. More power to you, and feel free to express your different opinion, but cut the headmistress act.
sergiobor
My post is not a complaint but the note of facts. The fact is that if you are buying a product with defects, which are repeated from game to game. This is not to say that you can not solve them, but say they are there. If you buy a car and something does not work will not be happy just because the brand is good, but I'll complain. There have been cases where the marks had to take a product from the market because it has a manufacturing defect. This is not to criticize or not criticize, but to say that I do not like this or any other aspect.I played Morrowind and Oblivion and I know that there are errors but I am free to think that a game is to be bought and played to the end without having to use console commands, so many times. It is true that with the release of CK almost everything will be solved, but should not be so.Bethesda should have enough experience to not create the same mistakes, and even a feeling this game makes me wonder and spend a very enjoyable time, I can not say that I'm happy.... and you will say, if it has so many errors why buy it?BECAUSE IS WITHOUT DOUBT THE BEST GAME THAT IS IN THE MARKET....and if someone feels that buying a full set of errors is good? okay, but do not say it's okay just because the game is good. The game is AWESOME but is full of errors. When leaving the CK almost everything will be solved. okay. We deal with it, but don't like.
ginnyfizz
Exactly so, sergiobor. I have not said that the game is bad. But along with many others I have found it to be horrendously buggy, and I too am having to use the console for far too many quests. Bethesda have learned nothing from previous releases and that is not good. It is not possible to keep respect for them when they persistently repeat the same mistakes. There would have been a lot less noise if they had not held back the CK so that they could shove the somewhat unpopular Steam integration down our throats. Had they given us the CK at release, we would all have been too busy fixing their bugs to make so much noise. But we would still have had the right to complain if we so wished, between our frantic modding efforts. They really only have themselves to blame. Either that, or they should just not have pinned themselves down to an eyecatching release date and waited until the game was finished and some proper QA testing done. A release date of a week or so before Christmas would have been just as eyecatching and allowed that to be done. Bugthesda isn't a term that I invented, it's doing the rounds of the net which should tell you something - I even saw a user reviewer on Amazon.com use it. Not an enviable reputation for them to get. The bugs for some people, with Skyrim, have been potentially rig busting - the hard resets for example. If you look at the threads on the official forums and elsewhere about the TESVal mod that lifts the frame rate in notorious blackspots, it emerges that the game code is rather borked to put it mildly. It shrieks Not Finished IMHO. Bethesda, give us the tools now, stuff Steam, and we will finish the job ourselves.

Pineapplerum
:hurr: <~~~ I like this guy. He's not actually laughing, he's complaining. I really have nothing to complain about but in the spirit of the thread I want to join in so I use him to represent me complaining....without having to really complain about anything. It's a lot more funner complaining this way. :hurr::hurr::hurr::hurr::hurr::hurr::hurr::hurr::hurr: Whheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Matth85
But still - why should I respect a company, any company? They're producing something, fine. There are people doing their jobs - fine, and I might just respect them because they are persons. But I don't respect a brand. So, they have spent 5 years in developmentIf everybody rises up and start crapping on say.... Fords. Now, how do you think it would go? If your car got a problem, you complain. That is normal. However, if you then start crapping on the brand itself and the producers, you are generally an a**hole. If everybody became an a**hole, there would be no more Fords. See the problem? If you don't like Skyrim, then that's fine. If you want to complain, then that's fine to. If you now start insulting Bethesda, you are an idiot. You are currently not complaining about the game, but the producers. That is disrespectfull to the game studio. I really got nothing against people complaining, if they actually do it right. I do got problem with people crapping on logic and just whine because they feel entitled to it. If X person got 100+ houres, enjoyable hours, then the person got no right to cry over anything. The person can name problems, and solution, but starting to bash Bethesda or Skyrim is just wrong. Also I, with so many others, never have said Skyrim was a bad game. It's a flawed game. You think differently, fine. More power to you, and feel free to express your different opinion, but cut the headmistress act. I never voiced my opinion here. No, I took a crap on the way some opinions was given. If you want my opinion, I can tell you this: I got 140houres into the game, I have not done the main quest, I think some aspects are piss poor and the magic is down right pathetic. However, I like the game as a whole. Do I complain? Yes I do. Do I crap on Bethesda, Skyrim or generally piss off people? Well, perhaps the latter. My point was very straight forward, and by "you" I mean everybody, not just you: If you don't like the bugs, you either report them, figure out why they are there, wait or wait for the toolkit. If you like the game, you can smile all day long. If you now start to take a crap on Bethesda or Skyrim as a whole, after holding a good 100+ houres, you are an idiot. Frankly, what pissed me off the most was the: "There is always bugs in Bethesda games so they suck!" followed by "I have played every TES game". .... WHAT? Crap on logic much. HadToRegister
You know nothing of the game industry, do you? And somehow you're an expert on it?You keep whining that the gaming industry is going down the tubes. Well, if they are, it's because their largest customer base (PC Users) are sick of buying poorly made console ports of games that used to be made for the PC first, and then ported to consoles. I'm sorry that your generation feels it has no rights as consumers to complain about the poor products they bought and the only option left for you is to blindly and vehemently defendcompanies that care nothing for you except as a sales number. The decades I grew up in as a kid has a LOT of people talking about "Rights", Civil Rights, etc, if Martin Luther King was around today, we wouldn't have had the marches in Alabama, we would've had a bunch of kids on the internet typing "LOL, Civil rights, Get OVER iT, if they don't want you to have civil rights, then stOP whining about it" I don't know how everybody got to be so complacent, and sheep-like, that they'd rather let game companies steamroll right over them, while they're shouting "THANK YOU!" I don't know why people are so quick to defend a company that makes faulty products.Where is all that froth and foam coming from? I enjoy playing Oblivion and Morrowind now, now that the entire modding community has turned them both into PLAYABLE GAMES.In 5 years you won't recognize FO3, FNV and SKyrim, because the community will FIX all of those games. You don't find it strange in the least that an employee of that particular game company featured a modder on their blog, because thismodder made a companion system that they themselves couldn't figure out how to do and put in their game? Some of the "NEW" features in Skyrim are just MODS, made by modders like me and you, well ME anyway...... If you're happy being a consumer that just blindly believes all the hype from any new game coming up and buys it, hates the game, but then makes up excusesfor the game developers on why the game was bad, feel free. But don't keep coming into these threads flinging around insults at people who want to discuss Maturely, what they dislike about the game, all your posts do is make it take twice as long to talk to other people who feel the same way about the game. EXample: THe game HAS Dual Wielding Perks and is sold as being able to dual wield. Try it sometime.THe interface is so buggy it erases your dual wielding assignments once you switch to another weapon. But, according to you, I'm supposed to clap my hands and jump for joy that they made it that way and then say "Give them a break, they only had FIVE YEARS to fix the interface!!"
